"Scotch couples" was the set-up on the bowling deal at the Palace . Recreation center. All couples were split up and paired off, with the man rolling the first ball and the distaff member using the second ball Tire results proved quite hilarious! - Mardy Lorch won the fancy dress, but will be unable to model it for a few more months! The "Italian lute" was presented to Elaine Todd -- (for a description of it -- see one of the club members), a barrel with six tiny glasses suspended was awarded to Gerry Jensen, Anne Matthesius won a dust pan and six dishcloths, a half-dozen dish towels and coasters was taken home by Barbara Brand while s i s t e r - i n - l a w A r d e l l e B r a n d was the recipient of the back washing brush. Eleanor Bowling was ecstatic with her seventy- six clothes-pins, llil Hansen equally overjoyed with a dish rack, and Mrs. Rob Buss promises to put her clothes pin holder to good use. Censorship prevents us from describing the prize won by Ted Smith!! | Dave Hansen, who had sore I fingers from constructing the fancy "pin" gown, was in charge of prizes, while Len Jensen, Jr., was the games chairman, and Ed Todd was responsible for feeding the mob. An excellent committee. From the bowling alley, the couples returned to Berenice and Whitey's for dancing and refreshments which included baked ham and beans (separately, of course) potato salad, and all the trimmings--served buffet style. This party was "one for the books", and all the members are eagerly awaiting March 19 when St. Patrick's Day will be the excuse for another evening of revelry. Wonder what the committee will dream up for this shin-dig! H-_ schedule of the second and fourth Thursday of e a c h. month.
