Auxiliary News 1 Florence Svoboda -- The thirteenth .annual patriotic conference held at the Conrad Hilton hotel, Chicago, was attended by Bernadette Cisiuski, Helen Fischer and Daisy Smith. The morning session started at 10 a.m. and the purpose for the Conference was to gain a better understanding of National and international affairs by bringing to our members a n d friends prominent speakers, cognizant of conditions affecting the American way of life. The first speaker was Harry R. Shandelson, district manager, Chicago loop office, for social sec u r i t y a d m i n i s t r a t i o n . Mrs. Enid Alleman, speach instructor at Barat College, Lake Forest, spoke on "Having Fun With Logic." The morning session ended with a speech from Judge Alfred J. ©illela, a member <Bf Mayor Daley's Commission cm Youth, who posed the question, "Have We Failed Our Youth?'
