Last month the Mothers' club enjoyed selections by high school vocal students, with Lj^pie Buckie as announcer. Mary Banks To Marry April SO _Card Party Benefit* Mineral Springs Area Mr. and Mrs. .William Wallace Banks of Tracy's Landing, The residents of, Mineral Springs were benefitted by a card party on Feb. 26, given at the home of the Marvin Olsons by the ladies' auxiliary. The proceeds are used for the snow plow and other improvements. This is the fourth card party held by this group and has put their snow plow fund over the top for this year. Refreshments were served, and despite the bad roads due to the deep snow, this party was well attended. Her bouffant lace skirt topped layers of tulle on net and taffeta, and a chapel train. On her head was a Swedish crown of seed pearls, from which fell a fingertip veil of French imported silk illusion. Miss Schultz carried a bouquet of orchids, white roses and stephanotis. Attending the bride were Miss Joyce Kristofferson and Miss Joanne Quilty of Round Lake and Miss Phyllis Ryan of Waukegan. They wore Emerald„ green satin velveteen dresses, styled with fitted bodices, matching green satin cummerbunds knotted in back with fresh daisies, and stiffened, bell skirts'. On their heads they had velvet bands with tiny bows.on the veils. Their- flowers were yellow carnations and stephanotis. Little Sherry Schultz, niece of the bride, acted as flower girl, wearing an Emerald green velveteen dress, with white Peter'Pan collar. She carried a basket of rose petals. Dennis Schmitt, brother of the groqrn, served as best man afnd groomsmen were fed. Schultz, brother of the bride, and Theodore Schaefer of Johnsburg, the groom's cousin. Ushers were Jack Schmitt. brother of the groom, and Roland Bauer of Ringwood. Mrs. Schultz chose a pale blue silk sheath, with which she wore a blue flowered hat and a white orchid corsage. Mrs. Schmitt selected a medium green crepe dress, white flowered hat and white orchid corsage. Breakfast was served at 1 o'clock at St. Mary's hall, with a reception there in the evening for 300 guests. Following a two-week trip to Florida, the couple will live at Lake Forest. The bride travelled in a black suit and white hat and had a corsage of tea roses and carnations. The bride is a 1955 graduate of Highland Park high school. The groom graduated from the McHenry high school. Both are employed by the Public Service company of Northbrook. St. Mary's Catholic church was the scene of a beautiful yvinter wedding on Saturday, Feb. 27, uniting in marriage Miss Ddnna Mae Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Brown of Edgebrook Heights, and Mr. Boyd Lindberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Olov Lindberg of Tower Lakes. Barrington. Rev. Fr. Harold Nilges officiated at the 10:30 o'clock service, for which the children's choir offered appropriate music. Two baskets of pink and white flowers decorated the altars. The attractive bride, given in marriage bv her father, was radiant in a gown of bridal satin, styled with fitted bodice, long sleeves, scoop neckline, full skirt and chapel length train. The bodice and skirt were embroidered with Venice ! type lace and seed pearls. Her silk illusion veil was held in place with a crown of seed pearls, and she carried a crescent bouquet of white roses, white carnations and variegated ivy. Her only jewelry was a pearl choker, a gift of ! the groom. Acting as maid of honor was i Miss Ann Lundbore of Wonder I Lake, a close friond.
