Freund when he attended the fifteenth anniversary Celebration of the Mundelein ,£Iass of 1945. A solemn high mkss took place at St. Mel's church in Chicago where Fa- '.iSper Hettermann participated as celebrant^of the mass. Father Erban Kuhl and Father C l e t u s C u n n i n g h a m o f t h e Belleville diocese acted as deacon and sub-deacon. Most Hev. Bishop Hillenger presided at the throne and delivered the sermon. Following the mass priests and their guests .enjoyed dinner in the parish hall. .Sodality To Hold Public Party The Blessed Virgin sodality w i l l a t t e m p t t o t r y f o r t h e second time to hold their scheduled public party. Thisi /arty had been previously advertised for Feb. 24 but had to be delayed because of the bad weather. The new. date is for March 20, at 8 p.m. in the community club hall. Be sure Kf keep this date in mind. Brownie News Mrs. Joan Walczynski was present at the last meeting of Troop 295 and will be there for the next few meetings. Mrs. Walczinski is showing the girls how to make a certain pattern which they will use for centerpieces in the forth- Wming Mother-Daughter tea. Mary Ellen Freund acted as cookie hostess for this meeting. New officers of the month of March were appointed at the last meeting of Troop 378. Patti Sullivan will act as president, Mary Kay Fredrick as vice-president, Jo Ann Freund as treasurer and Jean Hettermann as cookie chairman. The ^rls finished their headbands at this meeting. Treating the girls to homemade cookies was Patti Sullivan. Pack 862 Den 8 Members of this Cub Scout group attended the pack meeting at the American , Legion, home last Thursday. At this particular meeting John Brenn a n r e c e i v e d h i s d e n n e r ' s stripe. A family bowling outing was h e l d r e c e n t l y f o r t h e Cub Scouts and their parents in McHenry. Red Cross Drive A drive will be held during the month of March to help the Red Cross secure much needed funds. Mike Schaefer has been appointed chairman for this area. Hospital Fund Drive , A kick-off meeting- was held last Sunday evening in McHenry for the McHenry hospital fund drive. Committee members have already been contacted by «chairman Mary Hettermann. Capped At Impressive Ceremony Carol Weingart, daughter of John and Frances Weingart, was one of our future nurses who received her cap in a ceremony which took place on Feb. 28. Carol, along with the other twenty in the class, received her training at St. Therese hospital and will continue her clinical nursing experience along with her studies. The Weingart family and other relatives and1 friends were on hand to witness the impressive capping. A supper was held in Carol's home for guests following the ceremony. Important Reminder Of interest to lady Foresters of St. Agathas' court No. 777 who have been competing in the current card tournament -- Next Tuesday's meeting will end the fourth month period. If you have attended three out of four meetings you are in the card tournament. Next week's meeting is most important as plans for our breakfast will fee discussed.
