FLEMING STATE SENATOR If' This Ad Paid For By My Long Time Friend Ronald Paddock • An Open Letter To The Voters Of McHenry County Dear Voter: I am a candidate for reelection as Democratic Representative Committeeman in McHenry County for the 32nd representative district which comprises Boone, DeKilb, McHenry and Ogle counties. I have a long record of loyalty to McHenry County candidates for State Representative and earnestly solicit your support for myself and them at the primary election on Tuesday, April 12, 1960. Perhaps you are unaware that there has been for several years a selfish faction in McHenry County,, who for their own personal gain, have supported candidates from other counties and have been successful in depriving us of, the representation which we- rightfully disserve. I feel as Representative Committeeman, elected by McHenry County voters only, that I am duty bound to support our candidates for State Representative. If the current trend in population growth prevails, in just a few short years our population will soon match the combifffed total of the other three counties. The problems in agriculture, zoning, education, taxation, labor, etc., will consequently be more numerous in our fast growing area 'than in any of the other three sparsely populated counties. I cannot urge you too strongly to study the candidates for Democratic Representative in this the 32nd district (there is no competition for this office in the Republican primary) and decide to vote for either one of McHenry County's two outstanding candidates, namely Jesse Armstrong and Arthur Desmond. I am sure that both are extremely well qualified and certainly would do a better job than the two candidates of HI'S RENTAL Electric Hammers to Wheel Chairs EVergreen 5-4123 BOB VIEREGG'S Corner Cupboard Restaurant WOODSTOCK, ILLINOIS Will Again Be Open to serve you those Good Sunday Dinners Beginning April 10th Open Every Day 6 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. dubious ability presented to us from another county. , Then if you believe1 as t do that this representation rightfully belongs here . . . which is certainly the demise between my opponent and I ... I feel you should support my candidacy. My pledge: Before I shall be <»erced or taken in by prorriises by big Cook county politicians, or anyone else to support foreign candidates I shall graciously resign.
