"Tfie place for children is in the classroom and not' in the fields," said Regional Director Earl F. Halverson of the U. S. Labor Department's Wage and Hour and Public Contracts divisions, the agency which enforces the federal child-labor law. Halverson added that children of any age my do work before or after school hours, on weekends, or on holidays.
