GOLF TEAM WILL BE HOST TO ELGIN FRIDAY Elgin, with one of the most outstanding golf teams it has had in the past 15 years, will come to McHenry Friday, April 22. Elgin has an exceptional golfer in Dave Huskio, who won the state championship in 1959. The players on the Maroon team are all capable of shooting in the 70's. Because of the water. . and wet course the McHenry team has started slowly. Last Thursday was the first practice. Gary Adams will probably be in the No. 1 position and will have his hands full' against 'Dave Huskie. Gary is practicing hard every day so that he will be in top form against the state champ. Other members of the McHenry team are Bob Vaupell, Bob B e c k e n b a u g h , R a n d y Hughes and Steve Fike, all who are holdovers from last year's team. New faces on the team are Claude Sasso, Mike FitzGerala. Pat Buckie, Terry Ooffling. Rich Johnson. Jay Savior and Jim Hans. Twentyeight tried out for the golf t^am, but because of the Easter holidays, only the above had a chance to practice.
