Bixby, chairman, has reported. The solicitation, staged April 24, was one of the first in Mc- Henry county to report completion. Heading the list of contributing subdivisions was Indian Ridge with $84.54, Highland Shores, $68.49, Wonder ^.Center, $64.19. . Other subdivision totals include Wonder View, $52.51; Deep Spring Woods, $46.75; Wooded Shores, $40.93; Hickory Falls, $36.75; Shore Hills, $31.50; Lookout Point, $23.08; Wonder Woods, $21.50; and Sunrise Ridge, $20.60. . Cannisters and miscellaneous produced $9.16. Mrs. Bixby expressed appreciation to the many solicitors who helped make the drive a success. Present Gift To Hospital The woman's auxiliary to McHenry hospital presented the'institution with a transport bed at their mid-year meeting last week. The special type bed. which costs more than $900, enables hospital personnel to raise or lower patients t h r o u g h e a s y - t o - o p e r a t e cranks, or to tip the top in the desired direction to aid in transferring the patient to another bed. Mrs. Fred Bond, auxiliary president, presented the bed to Dr. Peter Griesbach, chief of staff. The group's mid-year meeting is held each year during National Hospital Week.
