A one o'clock dessert luncheon was served. High score went to Mrs. Kenneth Cristy and low to Mrs. Ben Walkington. Sewing Circle The W.S.C.S. Sewing Circle Kt at the home of Miss Alkfe »tJThursday. A pot-luck dinner was served at noon and the women sewed and embroidered in the afternoon. Community Club .Apologies to the Ringwood graduates for being so late in describing their graduation program. Congratulations to the graduates Sahdra Hoffman. l$>nna Low, Mike Hogan, Keith Peters and Mario Manzella. The program included singing , and dancing by the school children. Miss Taylor from McHenry high school was the speaker. Her speech on adjusting to high school life was very interesting and educational for the parents as well as the students. ^The last social gathering for We 1959 - '60 season was the school picnic. Many members stayed home because of the dismal, rainy weather. But a grand and noisy time was had by all who attended. Church News The Woman's Society of Christian Service will sePfe the annual sumptuous smorgasbord in the church basement on Saturday, June 25. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. All you can~"eat of an endless variety of hot and cold dishes. The boys and girls finished their vacation church school on Friday and celebrated with a picnic lunch out of doors. They held a combined. program with the church on Sunday morning. Ten youths and counselors Eluding Pat Hogan and Rev. McChesney attended annual conference at Joliet from our Sub District Saturday. Dr. Stuart and Mrs. White of Woodstock were feted at the special service of retirement last Thursday evening. Ministers and many friends came from all over the conference to Wish the Whites the very best «i their new endeavor. Many embers from each of their foriftef parishes were also on hand as well as family members. The marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Lind was solemnized in our church Saturday evening at 7 p.m. She is the former Miss Donna Ackermann. They will reside in Wonder Lake. ^,,This week is one of important business for the Methodist church in Northern Illinois, as its members and ministers confer on the issues of the day. Joliet's Richard Street, Methodist . church is host to this year's annual conference. Death This community was saddened Saturday by the death of Mrs. Flora Harrison a former resident. Mrs. Harrison would have been 90 years old on December 11. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the George Justen and Son funeral home with burial beside her husband at Ringwood. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Howe of Crystal Lake were callers in the Louis Hawley home Thursday. M-Sgt. and Mrs. John Woodward spent Friday at Madison, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis of DesPlaines were visitors in the Doclor Hepburn home Saturday. Mrs. Rouen Duncan of Richmond was a caller in the Dr. Hepburn home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Ehlert and daughter. Donna, of Twin Lakes and Mr. and Mrs. James Minnis and daughter of Silver L&ke spent Sunday in the John Ehlert home. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Walkington ,spent Thursday in Elgin. Mrs. Elizabeth Jackowski of Racine, Wis., was a luncheon guest Wednesday in the Earl Kunz home. M-Sgt. and Mrs. John Woodward and sons arrived here Wednesday from French Morocco and will visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hawley. ; They expect to move to Madison, Wis., where he will be sta>ioned. Mrs. Paul Norman and children of Glenview spent Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Walkington. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kayser, Sr., of Hart land were supper guests in the Earl Kunz home Sunday. Mrs. Louis Hawley and Mrs. William Reinwall spent Wednesday at Meadowdale. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schuetze of Milwaukee spent Saturday with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. William Hepburn. M-Sgt. and Mrs. John Woodward and sons were dinner guests in the Ernest Reinwall home at McHenry Thursday evening. Among those from here to attend the golden wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. William Pries, Sr., at McHenry Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Wolf Shadle, Mrs. Agnes Jencks, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hawley and Mr. and Mrs. John Woodward. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Dowell visited his mother at Sherman hospital Sunday. Mrs. Lucille Brown and children of Spring Grove called in the Earl Kunz home Wednesday evening. Frank Hawley of Crystal Lake was a caller in the home of his brother, Louis Hawley, Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson of Park Ridge were callers in the Dr. Hepburn home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Sowers attended the wedding and reception of Grace LeVeque and John Suchey at Dundee Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Abraham and four sons of Milwaukee spent the weekend in the Charles Uhl home. The boys will spend the week here. Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs. Loren Ahrens and family of Belgium, Wis. Miss Pat Hogan marched with 'the V.F.W. drill team of McHenry at the parade at Huntley Sunday afternoon..
