CARD OF THANKS I would like to take this At a lovely afternoon wedding last Satui day, June 18, a childhood romance culminated in the marriage of Miss Jeanne Elaine Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Miller of rural Grayslake, and Mr. Curtis L. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard W. Johnson of Rt. 12. The nuptial rite was performed at the Wauconda Federated church at 3 o'clock by Rev. Mahlon Pomfiroy. The sooist was a college friend, Mrs William McDonal of Villa Park, who sang "Entreat Me Not To Leave Thee". "O Perfect Love" and "A Wedding Prayer". The church was decorated with bouquets of'white peonies and snapdragons. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full length gown of white taffeta with yoke and applique of alericon lace. Her short veil fell from a seed pearl crown and she carried a bouquet of white orchids, stephanotis and ivy. Mrs. Vernon Hamilton of Grayslake, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honors Bridesmaids were Miss 'Maryland Hubbard of Grayslake and Mrs. Allen Anderson, a college friend of Dayton. Ohio. The little flower girl was Babette Bursess of Grayslake, niece of the bride. All of the adult attendants wore dresses of shaded green s^tin stripe on white silk organza, with matching headpieces. and carried crescentshaped bouquets of white glamelias. Babette had a white organdy dress with sash and headpiece to match. She carried a basket of white button mums and snapdragons. The best man was Kenneth A Knutson1 of Chicago, ft cous- >n of the groom. The ushers were Donald P. Vogeler of Palatine and Mario Cima of Island Lake. The mother of the bride wore a beige lace dress with p i n k a c c e s s o r i e s a n d t h e groom's mother's dress Was Dakota at Vermillion, where the groom will teach an earth science course under the sponsorship of the National Science foundation. Both are graduates of Wauconda township high school. Miss Miller received her degree from the University of Illinois and has taught home I economics at McHenry high j school this past year.
