Anger officiated at the 11 o'clock nuptial rite in St. John the Baptist church, Johnsburg, uniting in marriage the daughter of Mr. an'i Mrs. Oscar J. Hollenbach of Fort Myers, F>la., rrnd the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Freund of Johnsburg. The church altars were decorated for the occasion with two bouquets of white mums. Miss HoFlenbach selected a gown of embroidered white nylon organdy, featuring seven t i e r s f a l l i n g i n t o a c h a p e l length train. It was styled; with square neckline and long sleeves. Three layers of white nylon veiling extended from a pearl and aurora boreaiis crown, and she carried a bouquet of white mums and stephinotis. Attending the bride were Mrs. Walter Frett as matron of honor, Miss Judy Baur, Miss Ruth Ann Schoenholtz, niece of the groom, and Mrs. Robert Kelly as bridesmaids. All were attired similarly in gowns of iridescent copper taffeta, styled with scoop necklines and three-quarter length sleeves They wore matching hats and bronze shoes. Mrs. Frett had "pllow mums tied with yeilow nbbon, while the bridesmaids' bouquets were bronze mums tied with bronze ribbons. Gregory Nowak of Johnsburg served as best man and grooms men were Bernard Schmitt, Thomas Oeffling «nd Walter Frett. all of Johnsburg. Mrs. Hollenbach was attired in a beige Chiffon and lace dress with matching aocessor- :es and a cymbidium orchid corsage. Mrs. Freund wore a oale blue crystalette and' lace dress, matching accessories and a white orchid corsage. A breakfast for seventy-sev- •en guests foMowed the ceremony at the Chapel Hill Country dlub, where 300 friends and relatives gathered for an evening reception after 5 o'clock. The couple are enjoying a two-week trip to Colorado and upon their return will reside in Johnsburg. The bride, a 1957 graduate of McHenry high school, attended J'arquetite university for a year and was forrfterly employed as a secretary in Chicago. The groom, a 1954 graduate of the local high school, is engaged in farming. Wiedemann of Stuttgart, Germany, son of Mrs. Sophia Wiedemann of Nordlingen and Dr. J. Wiedemann. •"The couple exchanged vows in a quiet double ring ceremony performed in. the presence of the bride's parents And his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Feiner of Rutherford. The pretty, blonde bride wore an ivory white peau de Soie sheath dress with pleated x^immerbund and a short, white, embroidered chantilly lBce jacket. A short, silk nosic veil fell from a pearl crown. Mrs. Bassett chose a soft mint green brocade taffeta Sheath, with jacket, and a matching hat. with which she wore black accessories. A dinner for the bridal couple and relatives in attendance followed the ceremony. The bride an'd groom left later on the Bremen for Stuttgart, Ger many, where they will reside. Ladies Of St. Paul Plan Pre-Holiday Sale A long awaited pre-holiday sale and luncheon will be sponsored by the women's auxiliary of St. Paul's Episcopal church on Oct". 18. The women of the church have spent an entire year preparing for the sale, and many items to be offered will be new and unusual. More details concerning the sale will appear at a later date. LUTHERAN CHURCH SCENE OF THREE WEDDINGS SEPT. 10 Zion Evangelical Lutheran church was the scene of three pretty weddings last Saturday, Sept. 10. At 11:30 in the morning, Rev. Carl,A. Lobitz, pastor, "officiated at the ceremony in which Evelyn Steadman became the bride of Ray West. Both are from McHenry. The couple will make their home on Riverside Drive. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, Benjamin Kellogg, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Kellogg of Fobc street. McHenry, claimed as his bride, Miss Barbara Gordon of McHenry. Just one hour later, Rev. Lobitz again officiated at a nuptial rite that united Norman Danko, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Danko of Lakemoor, and Sharon L. Ward of Ingleside. The Donald Roewer family is now residing in the Richardson place at 110 John street. Island Lake is the new home of the Lester C. Luebbens, who moved from 105 Clover avenue, Edgebrook, where the M. EFFIE GRAHAM HONORED ON 85th BIRTHDAY SEPT. 14 Mrs. Effie Graham of Oakhurst subdivision, widow of Rev. Graham, observed her eighty-fifth birthday anniversary on Wednesday, Sept. 14. Thirty neighbors called in the home of her son, Ted Graham, that day, with Rev. George Martin of the Community Methodist church as special guest to say a prayer for the octogenarian. Walinder were called to Chicago last week by the death of her brother, Joseph Sheridan, who passed away after a lingering illness. He will enter the freshman class this fa!l 1 on a four-year scholarship and take part in a special program designed for students of high academic rank and graduate in 1964 when the university will mark its 100th anniversary. Hasdal graduated second in his class at Wauconda Township high school.
