Cub Scouts The EWM cub pack thproughly enjoyed their visit to the McHenry fire department last Saturday. They listened to a lecture oil fire prevention and safety and what to do in case of emergencies, but best of all was when they were permitted fo get acquainted with the trucks! They were permitted to examine the equipment to their hearts content for a few minutes and from the; sound of things we're sure ALL of the boys got a chance to ring the bell and sound the siren! After all it isn't every day a guy gets a chance like that! Local Doins' The Birmingham and the McCormack families spent Saturday evening rooting for the Marian Central team. The Simpsons also attended the game and joined in to cheer the boys. w Willie and Jim Bergstrom attended the homecoming festivities at their alma mater, Champaign, and did more than their share of rooting their team to victory, (but to no avail!) Helen Birmingham's mother, Mrs. Margaret Deasy, was visiting with them from Sunday through Wednesday of last week.
