The new proposed by-laws were read and discussed for the second time at this meeting. The new by-laws and t h e c o n s t i t u t i o n w e r e passed and accepted by all at the meeting. Copies of the bylaws are to be sent to the members of the association soon. J*he nominating; committee vro formed at this meeting. They are Robert LoPresti, chairman, his committeemen are Fred Fradinardo, Bud Hueckstadt, Lawrence Schuerr and Don Leske. They will nominate people for the different Offices and the board of directors. These persons will be voted on lit the November meetteg. le new chairman of the fare committee for the remainder Of the year is Shirley Schuerr. If you know of anydue in the hospital, or has passed away and is a member of the association, please contact Shirley and let her know. Road grading will be done in tlii* month of November. The next monthly meeting ^lyill be held Tuesday, Nov. 15. ^0the white schoolhouse. Time 8 p.m. Woman's Auxiliary The newly formed Woman's au^iliar^ showed what they co^ld do in case of an emergency. One of the members home (the Kunz family) was completely burnt out. The women of the auxiliary responded with most gratifying iffiults. The next meeting uf the Woman's auxiliary will be held Monday. Nov. 7, at the white schoolhouse at 8 p.m. The hostess for this meeting are Mrs. Bartelt, Mrs._Bresserud and Mrs. Davis. The bake sale for Saturday. Nov. 12, is to be discussed further at this meeting. Attends Dinner Mrs. Marge Beahler, Mrs. Leona Fantus, Mrs. Diane Fuhler and Mrs. Pat Morrison attended the centennial dinner in Crystal Lake Thursday, Oct. 20. The dinner was given in honor of Juliet Low, founder of the Girl Scouts. Brownie and Girl Scout News The Lilymoor Brownie Troop 267 held its investiture Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the white schoolhouse. Those girls who were invested were Cindy and Joan Bresserud, Roseanne Wojtanek. Peggy Tomlinson and Mary Schuerr. The girls who received their first year pins are . Debbie Fuhler,. Nancy Wright, Diana Belford, Val Schiavone and Diane Steinsdorfer. The girls who received their second year pins are Judy Fantus, Karen Schiavone and Val Schuringa. Congratulations to each of you girls. The Brownie troop 299 of Lakemoor has their leader now. She is Miss Judy Vacohdio, and their co-leader is Mrs. Thelma Massheimer. With these two ladies the troop will have a good and full year. The Girl Scout troop 309 has gone from the club system to the patrol system. There are three patrols, the patrol leaders and assistant leaders are: Patrol 1, Kathy Brezinski, leader, 'Genene Dember, assistant. Patrol 2, Micki Morrison, leader, Linda DeCicco, assistant. Patrol 3, Regina Heckmann, leader, and B e tt y Coughlih, assistant. The membership \ for this troop is now closed. Firemen's Dance Don't forget this Saturday, Oct. 29, is the annual Lakem o o r F i r e m a n ' s H a l l o w e e n dance starting at 8:30 p.m., and it will be held at the Lakemoor firehouse. Everyone is welcome. If you haven't pur- Demonstration Mrs. Recker had a demonstration at her home Tuesday evening, Oct. 18. Many of her neighbors and friends attended. Coffee and cake were served. Back From Vacation Vic and Lee Bassi returned home Wednesday, Oct. 19, after spending three weeks in Louisiana. While there they made a tour of the French Quarters, and saw the many different interesting sights of the state. Weekend Trip Mauritie and Helen Haines made a trip Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 15 and 16, to Edwardsville, 111. Birthdays Christ Wijas celebrated his thirteenth birthday Tuesday, Oct. 18. Mrs. Orrilla Sammons celebrated her birthday Monday, Oct. 11. She was 85 years young. Many happy returns to you, Christ and Mrs. Sammons. Bundles From Heaven The population of Lilymoor has increased to two more. Mrs. Albert Greiner presented her husband with a little boy Wednesday, Oct. 12. Celebrates Anniversaries Together Mr. and Mrs. Robert LoPresti celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 15, with Mr. and Mrs. ,Vincent Lawrence of Elk Grove. They also celebrated their fourth anniversary. Congratulations go to all of you and hope you celebrate many more. Itome From Hospital . Mrs. Jo Bartelt is home from the hospital after having surgery performed. From what I hear she is recovering nicely. Mrs. Rathke returned home Thursday, Oct. 20, from the McHenry hospital.
