Roll call of officers, minutes of the last meeting and treasurer's report were given. So far fifty-nine home owners and 131 lot owners have paid their dues. Committee reports: Dick Morley reported on the Halloween dance and gave a few details about the New Year's Eve party that is being planned. I v?ill have more about this lat-' est. 'Roads: Kay Thelen reported on the condition of Lake street down to the beach, Each individual home. owner will have to put in his own driveway culverts. The association will put in the cross culverts. Pastor Hagerty of Mount Hope church, President Fred Haubold and Chuck Miller surveyed Broadway. Records will be searched' in Woodstock to see who will have the responsibility of maintaining it. Snow plowing waA discussed. Old business. The association has proceeded to place liens against the properties on which dues have not been paid from 1956 to Nov. 1, 1960. If you want any information, don't call me, call Fred Haubold or the other association officers. There wasn't any definite news about the bus service. The meeting was adjourned and coffee and cake were served. Hila Heineman Janice Janquart and Lee Conway donated the cakes this month. Halloween Dance The Halloween party held on Oct. 29 at the barn was a success as far as the. adult activities committee is concerned. Everyone there had a good time. They all enjoyed the quartet that played, the delicious food and the (pardon the expression) entertainment. Lois Mason, Cletus Mayer and yours truly did a take off on the McGuire sisters' record and one on 'Open Up Your Heart.' The barn was decorated vety ntedy.'. There were many, cute costumes. A good time was had by all and the committee hopes to see you New Year's Eve. P.TA. The Johnsburg school P.T.A. held its executive meeting last Wednesday at the school. The next regular meeting will be held on Nov. 15. This will be open house. There will also be a discussion of teaching procedure. 1 hope to see many of you there. The barn was decorated and there was a large assortment of costumes. Ron Missbach won first prize as an old lady and Barbara Wilson won a prize for her costume as a little girl. Games were played and refreshments were served. The club again wishes to express its graditude to Jerry and Maruyji,Thelen for.their help as chaperones. Testing, 1-2 That's what Michael Conway will be doing on Nov. 26. He was one of two boys from St. John's school chosen to take a scholarship test for the Marmion Military Academy. I'll let you know next week how many birds they brought home. Linda Dobecki and Janice Erbin were hostesses to a group of their friends on Oct. 29. They had a Halloween party in the Dobeckis' basement. They played games, had refreshments and a good time. Blanche and Carl Haefiiger spent last week in New York. Carl was there on business but Blanche was there just on pleasure, Tom Mason attended the opera, Carmen, in Chicago last FYiday evening. Last Sunday Herb and Lorraine Lindemann visited their nephew, Pat O'Hara, at the Sacred Heart Semingty in Geneva. Bill and Marge Morbth had their son, Ray, and daughterin- law, Mitzie, visiting with them for three days, v/ Carla Bales and Blanche Haefiiger attended a dinner dance at the Germania Lodge on Oct. 22. On Oct. 29, Ruth Gabriel attended a birthday party for her sister at Shiller Park. Now that Halloween and the elections are over we can put some serious thoughts to roast turkey and pumpkin pie.
