And, at this reunion, t here would be Just one less than 100 persons. The ninetynine babies make up the largest number ever born at the hospital in Woodstock, and the next largest nurriber arrived in September of this year. The girls outnumbered the boys by seven. There were fifty-three of the little ladies and only forty-six of the boys. They came in all sizes, too. The largest baby weighed in at 10 ppunds, 13 ounces; the littlest one started life with a weight of only 4 pounds, 10 ounces. The largest number of children came from McHenry and its immediate environs; twenty- three from the city itself, twelve from its surrounding rural community for a grand total of thirty-five babies with a McHenry address. . "Rozzy Rees "108 N. Park street "McHenry" DECEMBER HEARING A petition has been filed before the zoning board of appeals for Bertram and Iris Stittgen. The property is presently zoned R-l residential district and the petitioners are asking for a zoning reclassification to B-2 business district. This property is located east of the city of McHenry on Pistakee Bay road on Pistakee Bay. The hearing will be heard on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 3 p.m. in the city hall in McHenry. In the average American city, water costs about three cents per 100 gallons. OBITUARIES ALBERT H. WAGNER Last rites were held Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock for Albert H. Wagner, 85, who died Nov. 22 at the Villa Nursing home, Pistakee Bay, where he had been confined for seven months. He had been ill for three years. Mr. Wagner resided in McHenry for about twenty years prior to the death of his wife, Emma, four and one-half years ago. At that time he moved to Round Lake to reside with a son, Herbert. The deceased was born in Buffalo, New York* Sept. 13, 1875. He was a retired propriator of a grocery and market in Chicago, where he lived before moving to this community. Besides the son, - Herbert, he also leaves another son, Harold, of Woodlawn Park; five grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. The body rested at the Peter M. Justen funeral home, where Rev. Robert L. Eldridge of 1st. Paul's Episcopal church officiated at the Friday rites. Burial was. in St. Lucas cemetery, Chicago ROSE SCHMITT Family and friends this week mourned the death of Mrs. Rose C. Schmitt, 62, of 39 North street, Jak Ana Heights, who died Thursday, Nov. 24, in Memorial hospital, Wood* stock, where she was confined for only a few days. Mrs. Schmitt was born March 2, 1898, in Johnsburg, and lived her entire lifetime there. On Feb. 11, 1920, she was married by Rev. Nicholas Schmitt to John N. Schmitt at St. John the Baptist church, Johnsburg. Mrs. Schmitt and her husband farmed in the area until 1952. LJy The deceased was a member of the Blessed Virgin sodality of St. John's church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dolores Overton, of McHenry; a son, William J. Schmitt, of Denver; four grandchildren and two brothers, John J. and Ben J. Thelen of Johnsburg. One daughter died in infancy. A funeral Mass was sung at St. John's church Saturday morning, with burial in the church cemetery. Before that time, the body rested at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home. WALLACE STAMM Services were held in Chicago this week for Wallffi Stamm, 74, of Antioch, whi died early Sunday morning, Nov. 21, of a heart attack McHenry hospital, shortly after being admitted. An inquiry was held by Coroner Ehorn in the George R. Justen & Son chapel, where arrangements were made before the body was sent to the Cooney chapel, Chicago.
