Heart Attack Victim Word has been received by Mrs. Chuck Thacker that Jim Tallurico of Fountain Lane suffered a heart attack some time last week and was (and may still be) a patient at Mother Cabrini hospital in Chicago. Mary and Jim Tallurico spent the weekend of Dec. 3 and 4 at their summer home. During this time, they attended the Men's Club breakfast, but later in the day, Jim complained of not feeling well. The 135-page documentary source work, "County Government. in Illinois," was coauthored by Dr. Clyde Snider, chairman of the department of political science at the University of Illinois, and Dr. Irving Howards,, assistant director of SIU's local government center. Snider is regarded as one of the nation's foremost authorities on local government. Howards has been for some time secretary of the Illinois legislative commission on township government and has been a consultant to county government groups. The book includes chapters detailed , charts of : property evaluations, populations, salaries and other data. Another feature is a nineteen pag^ table listing all county government agencies and officials in the state. The hard-cover boolc will be on sale at the university bookstore.
