The John Seymowa home in Pistakee Highlands was one of their first calls when the wallboards caught fire as a result of using a blow torch to thaw out water pipes in the garage. Later in the day Tuesday, a grass fire in Pistakee Hills brought the men' out in the cold once again. In the very early hours of Wednesday morning line men of Station 2 received a call from a resident in Oakland subdivision of a nearby house fire. The men were assisted in fighting the blaze by the Mc~ Henry fire department. The unoccupied house was just about completely destroyed. Bowling Reminder Members of St. Agatha's court No. 777 will bowl once again next Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 at the local bowling alley. Any lady interested in bowling should be present on this day. Girl Scouts and Brownie News At one of their recent meetings held in the community club hall troop 408 discussed plans for a Valentine party and a bowling outing. Sandra Thomas served the refreshments at this meeting. Troop 408 appointed Lu Ann Smith as troop--chairman for the county fair at last week's meeting. The girls discussed what their project for the fair would be at this time. Troop 378 worked on their current project at last Tuesday's meeting in the public school cafeteria. Sister Angeline's room won the prize for having the most parents in attendance. Various needs of the school were brought up and approved during the course of this meeting. A nominating committee which consists of Diane Neiss and Madeline Johnston was appointed to find a new president by the March meeting. Father Anger was on hand at this time to speak and to discuss various subjects with the parents who were present." Arquiid the Town Joy Ann Hettermann spent "Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Chicago visiting her grandfather, John Dehn, and other relatives. Don and Betty Lou Dowe and daughter, Debbie, of Blooming ton spent last weekend visiting relatives here and in McHenry. Visiting Relatives Mrs. Arnold Michels and children were liappy to have Major and Mi's. Gerald Might and family of Rantoul and Mr. and Mrs. George Logsdon of Alvada, Ohio, spending a few days with them. They also visited Arnie who is still hospitalized as a result of a bad fall.
