The bookmobile will be in the area that day. This is no small thing. It has taken years of work by many civic minded pieople to get the bookmobile here. The first stop will be at the barn in Eastwood Manor from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. sharp. The second stop will be near the gas station on route 120 in Kent Acres from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. The bookmobile has a tight schedule and will arrive and leave these points on time. ^ The two hours might seem like a short period of time to us, but the unit is serving a very large area. We are fortunate to get this time. The bookmobile was taken from another area to come here for this service. If this time is not used to the fullest the service will be discontinued and taken elsewhere where it is needed. As of this date (Saturday, March 11) the bookmobile will be at the two places every two Weeks until June 30 of this year, providing it is used to the fullest. As of June 30 date we do not know if the service will continue. The residents of L i l y m o o r , L a k e m o o r , K e n t Acres and Eastwood Manor are asked to take advantage of this service. If tne time seems inconvenient to you please bare in mind that it has taken three years of hard work to make this service possible for the people of these communities. If you are not registered at the library you may register at the bookmobile when you are there or at the library in Lakemoir. It will be open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. Cleaning Up Work on cleaning the trash and weeds from the roadways has started. Anyone who has ever done work like this knows it's not easy. Weeds growing is due to mother nature, and you can't stop her but trash being thrown around is man, woman and child's fault and can be stopped. If anyone is going to throw bottles, cans and other trash around What is our community going to look like? the answer to that is, a garbage dump. Is that what you want our community to be known as a garbage dump? Only you can answer that. The weeds can be kept cut, that's if the tra§h is thrown where it belongs in garbage cans. No one wants to cut weeds when they know there's trash lying all over the ground. They are taking a chance of getting hurt or breaking the cutting tools. Either one can be very expensive and painful. The cleaning of the roadways and any other cleaning can be done without a lot of extra work if the trash is not thrown around oh the grounds. So let's all do our part and not throw along the roadways or lots. With a clean community we can be proud to have outsiders come into our subdivision. As you know people talk, with a clean community they will say, "Lilymoor is a clean subdivision". How about doirig your part and keep the trash ill garbage cans? Dogs I have received several calls on complaints about the dogs running loose in the subdivision. It has gotten to the point that in order to walk the roads a person has to carry a heavy stick or something with them to try and protect themselves against the dogs which are running in p&cks, .and large packs at that. A lot of the dogs are owned by people living in this subdivision. Why are you leaving them run loose? There are a lot of us who have dogs and djon't let them run loos* like wild animals. They are either penned in or on a leash, and it's not hurting the antmal. If these dogs attack an adult or child it is too late then, the damage is done. Dog bites can be painful. If the owners of these dogs running loose would pen their dogs up or put them on a leash, maybe we could get rid of the stray ones.
