School Finance Theme For PTA A subject that should be of major concern to all residents of Wonder Lake is that of "School Finance". This is the topic of the next Harrison school Parent-Teachers association meeting March 14 at 8 p.m. in the school. Leading a panel discussion will be Dr. Raymond H. Watkins, president of the local board of education, and Clifford Avis, Batavia, legislative chairman of the northeast division, Illiiiois Education association. With somewhat more than 60 per cent of real estate and personal property tax revenues earmarked for the school district, one question that is expected to be raised during the discussion is whether the need exists to increase school revenues during the next biennium, and if so, methods by which the money can be raised. The speakers will discuss current financial problems related to Harrison school and taxing rates that exist to support the school district. One observation is that Harrison school has a tax evaluation of about $12,000 to $13,000 per student, one of the lowest in the county, whereas recommended levels range upwards to $26,000 per student. All adults, with or without children in the elementary school, nave an interest in this program and the future plans for the school system. This is expected to be one of the several outstanding P.T.A. programs of the year, and a large public attendance is urged. 0>MTAL 1 Residence Change The Eugene Rosio family has move^Kfrom the "Adams apartment at 511 Waukegan road to Pistakee Bay.
