Danee Recital - Cathy Davis and Gail McDonald were participants in a dance recital held Sunday, April 30, at McHenry junior Mgh school. The recital was of all forms of dancing and all age groups. Cathy's and Gail's portion of the program was appearing in' a ballet of undersea fantasy with Cathy representing a seahorse and Gail representing sea mist. The costume? were beautiful and colorful and each dancer outdid themselves Each pupil was awarded a prize for accomplishment for the past year. An Indiana Visit Mrs. Emma Olson recently spent a week with her daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. John Ayres, in Indiana. On the return trip she spent the day with her sifter. The children enjoyed vis-ifing :n the Brownie News Brownie Troop 150 held their weekly meeting last Thursday. The girls started work on their Mother's Day gift for their moms, and made invitations for the Mother and Daughter luncheon to be held Saturday, May 20. The troop attended the SEHOA meeting and were presented their world association pins by Leader Alice Bieschke. The SEHOA is indebted to the Brownies for the delicious cakes served at the close of the meeting. Cup cakes were baked by Connie Jablonski, Regina Kern, Debra Obstfelder and Debra Stull at the Jablonski home, fP cake was baked at the Blythe home by Cathy and Jennifer Blythe and Doreen Patterson. A "crazy" cake was baked by Kathy Harrington and Debbie and Donn?. Noah at the Noah home. The third cake was baked by Mary Jane Lakowske, Nancy Roggenbuck, Leonie Schneider and Laura Smolinski at the Schneider home. Wolhert en Saturday, April 29. After the 11 a. m. Mass a wedding breakfast was served to thirty guests and a reception followed at 6 p.m. at the Johns burg community club. Sharon's and Dick's wedding trip took them to Washington and Virginia. Scout News Boy Scout Troop 144 will hold a parents' night meeting on Thursday. May 25. There will be movies, a repeat of the guided missile movie and development of ae r o n a u tics. There are many awards to be given to the boys. I will have the time and place for you next week. Everyone is invited. A Wedding Rose and Mike Tillich and Marge and Louis DeFrancisco attended the wedding of Rose's niece, Sharon Kaiser, to Dick Let's Go Visitin' Let's drop in on Alice and Ray Bieschke at 4405 Dennis boulevard. Alice and Ray were married Feb. 9, 1957, and 2 weeks later Ray went into the Navy. His home was Norfolk, Va., bjat spent most of his time on a destroyer while Alice waited ashore in Norfolk. He served until Feb., 1959, and they moved to Sunnyside Estates the latter part of March in 1959. May 26 that year little Tammy Bieschke made her appearance with her dimples and big smile. Ray is a chemical operator in Ringwood and is a member of the board of directors of the Illinois State Taxpayers Voters League. He is also serving as trustee for the SEHOA. His hollies are fishing, hunting, volley ball and football! Alice's big interest is her Brownie Troop, she is Leader of Troop 150. She also enjoys all sports. Tammy's hobby is cookies, the more the better. Incideritly, Tammy is the only resident of Sunnyside Estates who has never missed an association meeting. A Visitor Carol Kennebeck had her mom, Mrs. Rudy Gamperl, of Chicago visiting with her for a few days recently. Oops! Sorry Dept. Bacon of Crystal Lake general county chairman of the Savings Bonds committee. Illinois sales totalled $35,869,903, an increase of 11.1 per cent over sales for March, 1960, according to T. Spring Grove OFFICIALS RETIRE AFTER MANY YEARS SERVING VILLAGE Mrs. Charles Freund Seventy-five years are the combined years of service given by Paul Weber and 4 Anton May who retired from the village board of Spring Grove this week. Mr. Weber as president of the board was at the helm guiding village affairs for two terms. Previous to his presidency he was a visage trustee for twenty-seven years. Forty-five years of advising a n d a s s i s t i n g i n m a t t e r s brought 'before the board is the time given by Anton May as trustee. These two men are to be commended for the many years of service given to their community and for their cooperation and interest shown through the years in all civic affairs. Newly elected President Lyle Thomas and Trustee Anthony Kappie will fill the vacancies made by the retiring members. A meeting was held April 29 at which time Mr. Weber swore in Leander Lay, village clerk, who administered the oath of office to the officials.
