' %:• Betty Hettermann The Johnsburg Rescue Squad Was called upon four times Within a little over a week's time to lend its first aid assistance to those in need. The squad members were called to si local busiR^ss^ptace here on Way 26 when the proprietor suffered a fatal heart attack. Funeral services were conducted last week for Arnold C. Peterson who was 51 at the -time of his death. Our sincere ^sympathies are extended to his •rwidow and other surviving .• members. While still on this call, the .. squad was called to the Griswold Lake road near Fem- £ wood subdivision, where a two - car collision had taken place. : The head-on crash claimed the : lives of two young children and ' hospitalized four other persons. Proud grandparents are Joe and Alvina Miller and the Robert Knoxes of McHenry. Congratulations to all. Hospital Patients Peter Freund, Jr.. was taken to the McHenry hospital as a patient over a week ago. Just tiow long his confinement will be is not determined as yet. Bob, underwent brain surgery last week at Mayo'fr which proved to be a very long and delicate operation. His wife, his parents and her parents have been keeping a bedside vigil. Only tifhe will tell how successful the operation will be. Please remember to say an extra little prayer daily for this young man's complete recovery. Baseball Notes The Johnsburg Tigers will oppose the Dundee team here next Sunday, June 11, at 2 o'clock. Also on the baseball agenda is the game at 7:30 p.m. on June 14 when our Tigers travel to Kenosha. Don't forget about those softball games which are played Tuesdays and Thursdays every week at the V.F.W. diamond. Anniversary Celebration Mr. and Mrs. William Welter of Spring" Grove Road' were surrounded by forty of their relatives and close friends when they enjoyed dinner out last Saturday at 3 o'clock. After 6 that evening open house was held at their beautiful home. Many persons were on hand at this time to relay their congratulations to the Welters in honor of their golden wedding anniversary. Carnival Time The last weekend of this month will bring carnival time to our' community once again. The big weekend which will be sponsored by the community club will have lots to offer for all ages.
