Lobitz of ZiolT Lutheran church officiated at last rites held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Anna Kloepfer, 37, of Lakemoor, who died Friday night at/ the Woodstock residence. The 1:30 o'clock service was conducted at the George R. Justen rind Son funeral home, followed by inter-1 ment in Woodland cemetery. The deceased had been a patient at the home for only a few days but her death followed a lingering illness. She was born June 16, 1923, in the Ukraine and had resided at 223 Venice, Lakemoor, for the past eight years. IDA CARLSON Services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday in the Brust funeral home in Lombard for Mrs. Ida Carlson, 86, of Regner road, Pistakee Bay, who died Saturday, June 3, of a heart attack while visiting in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Preussner, In .Lombard. Burial was in' Irving Park cemetery. The deceased had resided with her son, Edw&rd, for the last twenty-f've years. She was a native of Sweden, where she was born March 22, 1875. LUCY LAURENT Mrs. Lucy Laurent, 58, a former local resident, ' died June 5 in St. Therese hospital, Waukegan. The deceased had lived in that city for about forty years. She was born in Johnsburg in 1902. Survivors include a daughter, Violet Horsley, of Waukegan; three grandchildren; her father, Peter F. Miller; a sister, Lillian Hetermann; and three brothers, Roy, Alfred and Victor, all of McHenry. The body rests at the George R. Justen and Son funeral home until 10 o'clock this ( T h u r s d a y ) m o r n i n g , w h e n last rites will be held in St. Mary's Catholic church, with interment in the church cemetery. SENTENCE BERWYN MAN TO PRISON AFTER REARING (Continued from Page 1) EDWARD HORENBERGER Last rites were held in Trinity United Church of Christ, Deerfield, for Edward Horenberger, 95, who died June 2. He was the father of Raymond Horenberger of McHenry. Other survivors include another son, Harry, of Colorado; four daughters, Maggie Schultz, Ellen Ott and Henrietta Harder of Deerfield and Ruth Dye of California; also five grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren and two brothers. WIN SAFETY AWARD Neighboring Woodstock was one of eight cities in the United States cited for the Award of Merit in the National Safety Council's annual inventory of traffic safety activities for 1960. It is the second highest award offered. Napoleon escaped from Elba the same week that Lincoln celebrated his 6th birthday. His defeat at Waterloo came 4 months later. Chrz earned $140 a week as a printer. He had been employed in one place for twenty* one years. ' Chrz became acquainted 'at Wonder Lake after his sister, Bessie Lewandowski, of Berwyn purchased a cottage the^e in 1959. He admitted having known the girl's age since her birthday last October, and said that since their engagement, which included a written agreement, he had placed a ,$5 deposit in the local bank lor her. The Berwyn man admitted that subsequent to his arrest, he realized that his actions were wrong. Testimony revealed that Chrz was shy and reticent, and made it a habit of associating with 'teen-agers rather than those his own age. He resided with his mother in Berwyn. Elliott Corbett, former minister at the local Methodist church, and of Mrs. Corbett, were happy for what may be their last visit with the couple in many years. The Corbetts called in McHenry last weekend before leaving for Washington, D. C., where he willcontinue his education.
