Mr. and Mrs. William Schwieger visited their daughter and son-in-law, Chrystal and Ed Stach, in Granite City. 111., and attended the high school graduation of their grandda u g h t e r, Patricia, on Friday, June 9. On their return they attended the eighth g r a d e g r a d u a t i o n o f t h e i r grandnephew, Phillip Campbell, of Dolton, 111. R o s e m a r y F e l i c e t t i w a s treated to a dinner out by her parents, Rose and Tom, and brother, Louie, after her graduation from McHenry high school. The latter part of the evening was spent with her young friends. Adeline and Hank Zeiger held open house Sunday, June 11, for their son, Jerry, a graduate of McHenry high. About forty relatives and friends from Niles, Northbrook, Spring Grave and Sunnyside Estates called during the day and enjoyed a buffet dinner. Jerry has been accepted by the Wisconsin Slate College in Whitewater and will be majoring in history come fall. Carol and Bud Kennebeck attended the graduation party of his nephew, Don Gaylord, Tuesday, June 13, in Woodstock high school. Congratulations and best wishes to all you young people. Silver Anniversary Gloria and Ernie VonOepen, Jr., and sons attended the silver wedding of his parents Saturday, June 10, in Chicago. There was a reception in the afternoon and in the evening a sit down dinner for 250 guests. Later the guests enjoyed dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Mr. and Mrs. VonOepen, Sr., were the" recipients of many lovely gifts Brownies and Girl Scouts A m o n g t h e B r o w n i e s a n d Girl Scouts f rom' Sunnyside Estates on the field trip to Brookfield Zoo, a tolir through a cosmetic plant and visit to O'Hare field were Mary Anderson, and mother, Lois, Rosalyn Hammershoy, Kandy Kobus and mother, Helen, Mary Jane Lakowske, Debbie and Donna Noah. On the return trip a stop off was made for 'burgers, french fries and milk shakes. Tommy Fry arid Bobby Martinec. On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa Gamperl and Uncle Bob Richi came bearing gifts. Later in the evening Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Bob Gamperl and their three children came with more gifts, and stayed over Sunday. On Sunday Grandma Kennebeck, Great-aunt Alvina Schumach er, Aunt Janette and Uncle Ray Gaylord, their two sons, friend, Pat Wilkinson, and Bernice Fry came with more gifts. Lucky little fellow to have such a nice big family and good friends. Weekenders Pat Spindler spent a few days in Elmwood Park with Little League Last week we promised you the names of the Cubs team. Here they are: Manager, Albie Adams and coaches. Earl Fry and Monty Hosier. Players are: Cary Adams and Neil Barth second base, Pat Colomer and Mark Van Zevern left field, Tommy Fry first base. Bill Haag catcher, Gary Hosier pitcher, Larry Lennon and Jeff Misavich righ field. Bob Martinec and George Van Zevern third base and Guy McGreiger center field. The June 5 game was won by the Braves, 8 to 7. The boys play on the community club ball diamond and the next game is June 28. Take the kids and enjoy a good ball game. Surprise Lois McDonald was surprised on her birthday, Thursday, June 15, when some of her neighbors came calling with a birthday cake and gifts. Lois's twin sister, Lenore Oas, lives in Chicago. Let's Go Visitin' Let's visit Marilyn and Joe Current at 1S05 Oakleaf drive. They moved to Sunnyside Estates in June, 1959, from the north side of Chicago. This gal was smart -- she married her boss seven years ago and they now have two lovely daughters, 6 year old Linda and 3 year old Jackie. Joe is manager of a service station in Chicago and commutes daily. Marilyn enjoys sewing and Joe's hobby is fishing. Voight Doin's June and Ted Voight and daughter, Diane, spent a rec e n t w e e k e n d i n C h i c a g o where they Attended the high school graduation of June's sister, Carol Price. Grandma Voight baby sat with the six other little Voights. June Voight's mother and sister, Mrs. Fred Price and Mary Eileen, were visitors for a few days last week. A Day Out LaVeme and Kelly Noah and their kids visited her brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. David Johnston, in their new town house in DesPlaines, one day recently. Later they gave the kids a whirl at kiddie land then on to her parents, Mr. ind Mrs. William Johnston, in Chicago for supper. Visitors George Kropf, Jr., had a recent weekend pass from Fort Campbell, Ky., and spent the time with his parents, Millie and George, Sr. Millie's former boss in Chicago, Helen Coga, and husband, Joe, spent Sunday in the Kropf home. Sick List Marge DeFrancisco is in Chicago lending cheer and a helping hand to her sister, Dorothy Shavey, who has been seriously ill. The Siepman household was in a turmoil last week. Four year old Heather fell off a teeter-totter and received a deep ^ish under her eye. One year old Warren closed the washer door on a finger and cut it badly and three year old Howie was bedded with a old. I would say that Dotty has been pretty busy. Helen Wegner has raturned from McHenry hospital \but daughter, Kathy, is sick witfiva cold. I I talked to Betty Lakowske the day following her surgery in McHenry hospital and she was feeling fine. By the time this Plaindealer qomes out she Will be at home. We are glad to report that Jean Hammershoy is recovering rapidly from her operation in Edgewater hospital in Chicago. Bob Lasnek's father is hospitalized in St. Therese in Waukegan. Diane Noah has been ill with infected tonsils. Millie- Kropfs dad, Mike Becvar, escaped injury in an auto accident which badly wrecked his car. This list is much too long. They were welcomed home with an outdoor barbecue by their daughters, Jeanniejo and Susan, Jean's sister and husband, Ruth and Andy Stopar, and son, Ron, her brother and wife, A1 and Lucille Gerali, son, Pete, and friends and neighbors. Jeanniejo and Susan are spending a few days in Chicago with aunt Ruth and uncle Andy. A Southern Trip Jean and Joe Benoche have just returned from a second honeymoon. Their ' trip took them to Greenville, N. C., where they visited Joe's uncle and aunt, Leo and Mary Benoche, and their six children and cousins by the score. They visited all points of interest there then on to RichmQnd, Va. and Washington, D. C., for more sightseeing.
