They were appreciated j so very much. j Ann Marie Scarbrough I 6-29-61 A beautiful summer wedding took place at St. Mary's Catholic church at 10 o'clock Saturday. June 24, when Miss Margaret Ann Espey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth i Espey of 1410 N. Richmond . road, became the bride of Mr. i Theodore J. Loesch, Jr., son of the senior Loesches of Highland Park. Rev. Fr. Eugene Baumhofer officiated at the service, for which the children's choir offered appropriate music. The church altars were decorated with white carnations and blue delphinium. The pretty, young bride selected a gown of white chantilly lace over taffeta, fashioned with a sabrina neckline, long, tapered sleeves, fitted bodice and bouffant skirt. The bodice was detailed with embroidery of seed pearls and iridescent sequins. The back of her full skirt consisted of cascades of ruffles in imported chant illy lace, extending into a chapel train. Her crown of aurora boreal is and seed pearls secured her bouffant veil of imported silk illusion and she carried a cascade bouquet of white stephanotis and Amazon lilies. The diamond , pendant she wore, gift of the groom, njalcJaed hfjr wedding and engagement rings. The couple exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony, the bride being given away by her father. The .bride placed a bouquet of flowers on the altar of the Blessed Virgin while the children's choir sang "On This Day O Beautiful Mother". Acting as maid of honor was Miss Ellen Clark, a close friend, Miss Charlene Freund of Johnsburg and Miss Bonnie Brda of McHenry. All were %ttired similarly in pastel blue nylon sheer gowns over taffeta, styled with scoop necklines, brjef sleeves and long waisted p r i n c e s s l i n ^ . b p d i c e s w i t h short,,, full skirts. They were detailed with soft shirred bands ,.*t the hipline. Large matching picture hats completed the attire. Miss Clatrk carried a qascade bouquet of white carnations; and pink roses, to match the best lean's boutonniere. The bridesmaids had blue delphinium and white carnations. The flower girl was little Jean Marie Hashek, cousin of the bride from West Bend, Wis. She wore a floor length white chiffon dress with a blue sash and bow. Her headpiece consisted of a wreath of flowers and veil and she carried a basket of blue delphinium and pompoms. Jerome Loesch of Highland Park served his brother as best man, and . groomsmen were Anthony Espey, the bride's brother, of McHenry and Jerome Tarpey of Highland Park, a friend. James Hashek of West Bend, Wis., cousin of the bride, was ring bearer. Mrs. Espey selected a blue dress of silk organza, .with lace bodice. She wore matching accessories and had a white orchid, corsage. Mrs. Loesch wore a two-piece beige dress featuring a shirred chiffon bodice, pink accessories and a similar corsage. Grandmothers of the couple attended from Highland Park, West Bend, Wis., Washington and Pennsylvania. Breakfast was served to lifty friends and relatives at ! the McHenry Country club at noon. Later, 250 guests gathered at the V.F.W. clubhouse for a reception. The couple left on a trip through the West, and upon their return will reside at 2906 Cardinal Drive, Rolling Meadows in their newly purchased hore. The bride graduated from the local high school in 1959 and attended Bryant and Stratton business college. The groom is a graduate of St. Norbert's high school in Greenbury, Wis., and attended barber's college. He is employed as a barber in Rolling Meadows. Miss Schwanke Saturday Bride Photo by Dick Rauscher M i s s B r u n h i l d e S c h w a n k e , daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Bernhard Schwanke of Holiday Hills was a lovely bride on Saturday, June 24, when she exchanged nuptial vows with Mr. Klaus Franzke of Holiday Hills, whose parents reside in Germany. The ceremony was solemnized at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Immanuel Lutheran church, Crystal Lake. The bride was charming in a white nylon lace dress over taffeta, decorated with sequins and beads. A cap headpiece held in place a fingertip veil, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and pink sweetheart roses. Miss Hildie Bock of Lakeland Park, a friend, acted as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Helga Legler of McCullum Lake, sister of the bride, and Elfriede Stuerzebecher of Chicago. They wore attired in ice blue, nylon dresses styled with bell skirts. They wore tiaras, and carried bouquets of w h i t e c a r n a t i o n s a n d p i n k sweetheart roses. ,. Ronald Reidel of , .Chicago serVed as -best man anc|: groomsmen were Elmer Kaup and Axel Schwanke, the latter a brother of the bride. Cathy Pleaszae of Elgin, was the pretty flower girl, and her brother, Ray Pleaszae, was ring bearer. Mrs. Schwanke was attired in a light blue lace dress and had a white rose and pink sweetheart rose corsage. About forty guests gathered at the bride's home for a. reception immediately following the service. The newlyweds left later on a wedding trip to the Gzarks. They will- reside for the present with her parents, and later move to Lakeland Park. The bride is a graduate of the McHenry higfi school and is employed in the office of the Quaker Oats Co., in Chicago. The groom received his education in Germany and is now employed by the Barco' Co., in Barrington. CARD OF THANKS Words cannot adequately thank those who expressed their sympathy and helpfulness to us so beautifully at the time of our recent sorrow. We are deeply grateful for flowers, spiritual bouquets, cards of sympathy, memorials and other expressions of sympathy. May God bless you all. Father Adolph Weidemiann officiating. The bride was a beautiful picture in traditional lace and tulle, rhinestone tiara and fingertip veil. She was accompanied by her bridesmaids, Miss Kathleen Minahan and Dolores Morse, both of whom were recently graduated with the bride at Grant Community high school, and Miss Georgeanne Posthuma of McCullom Lake. They wore lilac, as did the flower girl, a niece of the I groom, Mari-Beth Hopp of j Ringwood. i The best man was the ! groom's brother, Russell, and ushers were his brother, Victor, of Ringwood and the bride's brother, Robert, of Fox Lake. Victor Miller, Jr., was the ring bearer. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Weinke arid the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hopp of Oakland subdivision. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wiiliam Kuhn of Niesen's subdivision. The reception was held at the Lions club in Fox Lake, with about 350 relatives and friends attending. The happy couple are enroute to Yellowstone on their honeymoon and upon their return will welcome friends' at their apartment in Fox Lake.
