She is enfrying herself with many children her own age. Marge Zacharius spent last Wednesday visiting with her parents, Marge and Bill Moreth. Mr. and Mrs. Fries from Wauconda spent last Monday visiting with Herb and Lorraine Lindemann. Rita and Jesse Tempera Juto'e two of their grandchilimvn with them for the summer. The children are from Chicago and are enjoying their vacation in the Highlands very much. Happy birthday to Kevin Bales who will be four years old on July 7. Laura Gregg has been attending bible school fpr ihe last two weeks at the Methffljkt church in Ringwood. Keb and Barb Sisk and sons, Dennis and Greg, spent last weekend visiting with relatives in Arkansas. Lee Johnson is home for the 'summer from Parson college. On the Fourth, the Masons, Conways and Morleys spent the day at the home of Jan and Jerry Janquart. We enjoyed coolsin^ out and just "loafing J%St Wednesday evening JDon and Wanda Dobecki and 5im and Carla Bales attended II summer stock play in Highland Park. v Last Saturday Tom and Lois fn&son and Jay and Mary Story attended the wedding of Mary Joy Newmeyers to Ronai4 Cook in Chicago. ^Stephanie and Mike Contra ^ sold their home and have rented the Keith Clark residence. The Clarks are moving to Chicago. Mrs. Names and her daughter, Leona, from Deerfield were guests of Lil and Leo Orlowski last Sunday. Lee Gregg's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harris, are now making their home with Dud and Dee. Don and Wanda Dobecki and llHiily visited in South Bend over the holiday and also visited the Sand Dunes. Jack and Audrey Zetterburg and family have just returned from their vacation. I have received word that Mr. and Mrs. John Pechous are now living in Pompano, Fla. Ed and Virginia Thoren entertained guests in their home on July 2. It was in honor of Craig's graduation from Mc- Henry high and the graduation of their nephew, Alan Thoren's, from Lane Tech. Kathy Mclnerney was hostess to twenty-five of her girl friends from Mundelein College on June 25. Dud and Laura Gregg visited the Museum of Science and Industry ancl dined, out last week. It was strickly a fatherdaughter affair. Betty, Milton and Bobby Sandelins spent last Sundayvisiting friends in Rockford. Dorothy and Richie Orlowski will attend a wedding in Canada on July 15. Richie is on a week's vacation while Dorothy is enjoying two. While in Canada they will visit relatives. Grace and Forrest Reinhardt and Roy and Gert Snell enjoyed a trip and picnic last Sunday. . Kay Sielisch was hostess last Saturday at the Art Fair. She enjoyed seeing many folks from the Highlands interested in art, enjoying the exhibits. Richie' Orlowski and Gene Heir have been busy marching in parades. They are members of the Fox Lake American Legion post. Last Friday night they marched in Antioch and Highland Park and Sunday they marched in Highland Park. Richie is a color bearer for the post. Dorothy and Joyce attended the affairs to watch their husbands parade. Everyone is sorry to be losing Darlene and George Neeson and son, David. The Neesons have sold their home and will move to Broadview before August 1. Their many friends and neighbors will miss them and extend their best wishes for the future. Fortieth Anniversary Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs, Alison Aitken of North Leeside avenue who celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary on July 5. At the present time they are weekend residents but hope to make this their permanent home next summer. 4-K That's It For another week. Federation report. | In we business we discussed ; our annual project tour. It will i be hpld July 23 at 1:30 p.m., I starting at the Schmelzer | home. We also discussed a picnic social. Talks and demonstrations were given by Donna Schmelzer and a special number of Kathy and Dorothy Curran. Refreshments were served by Sarah and Mrs. Whiting. Cub Seouts The Cub Scouts enjoyed a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry on July 5. They also had their fishing contest last Thursday evening.
