The Andersons, Mary, Mike, Kasey, Patti and Lois; Alice and Tammy Bieschke, Helen, Kandy, and Brian Kobus; Mary Jane Lakowske, Debbie and Donna Noah, the Palmers. Marge, Cathy, Sherwood, and Marty; Laura Jean Smolinski and ^ Judy Strorgil. We spent a delightful week of living in the out-of-doors in a-secluded, wooded area southwest of McHenry. The Girl Scouts were in units with girls of their own age and so were the Brownies. The boys and little tots who attended were children- of the camp counselors. and they too had their own tents. As for Alice, Helen, Marge and myself, we acted as unit leaders helping the girls with their activities, games, hikes, Crafts, etc. The week sped by and we all foil a warm satisfaction in getting out in the beautiful countryside and working with the young people. It was a great opportunity for us and the girls and a vote of gratitude is in order for all the committee and workers who helped organize and conduct the Valley View Neighborhood Day Camp. presence spurs them on to play a good game of ball. Little League The score in the Cub and Brave Little League as of July 10, was four Braves, two, Cubs. The Cubs ran into a little bad luck at that game when four of their players didn't show, they still have time however, to do some catching up. The Braves have discovered a sort of good luck charm in Mary Anderson, the only games th%\ lost were the two she didn't attend. Relatives and friends of the boys are urged to attend these games as their Visitors To Sunnyside Estates The Anderson and Kuntz families are very pleased at having Herb and Pat's mother and ste]$-dad, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Roy, here on a visit from Hallandale, Fla. They were residents of Wonder Lake for many years and are happy to be back in the fair state of Illinois for two weeks. From here they will travel to Wisconsin, Michigan, Canada, New York and other stops to visit their many friends who stay with them throughout the winter months. Pat Spindler, a gal who just loves company, had some surprise visitors last week. Adele Gericke and two children of Park Ridge and Ruth Patterson and her four of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Adele and Ruth are sisters and their mother and Pat were friends when they were little girls so she has known them a good while. She lost track of them about 12 years ago but as chance would have it she saw a name in the paper one day last winter and sent a card. It was the right Patterson so they began their friendship all over again. There were a lot of old times to remember and a lot of things to catch up on so it was truly an enjoyable day for all of them. Then on the weekend Pat welcomed her son, Jim, and grandson, Mark, for a couple of more pleasant days. From where we sit. it looks as if Pat is thoroughly enjoying this beautiful summer. Birthdays The birthday and anniversaries seem to come in bunches, we have a nice long list of both for this week and glancing over it you will see that just about every section eff Sunnyside Estates is represented. Today (July 20) my better half, Herb, celebrates another birthday. Laverne Noah was born on July 21, 19--, we really don't know. On July 23, two more fine ladies celebrate, they are Bessie Schweiger and Gladys Kayler. Three more on July 24 are Dorothy Bierchen, Neil Davis who will be 10 and Jim Farley. Charlotte Maule is just slightly in the "over 21" bracket on July 25 and Steve Kuntz will be T on July 26. Hope each of you has a happy, "happy birthday." Harold aand Marge Palmer. Like most of us, some of their 21 years have been happy and some have been hectic, but most important. they have shared them together. Happy anniversary. Anniversaries Two nice people who have put quite a number of years behind them together are James and Hedwig Haninger. The occasion of their thirtyeighth wedding anniversary arrives- tomorrow, July 21. It will be a while before John and Eleanore Fiedler reach that many, but they will have had 13 happy years as of July 24. At the risk of listing too many or too few for the next two couples we will just say they are well mated and have our sincerest congratulations. They are Dick and Jean Gerke and Hank and Adeline Zeiger who celebrate July 25. Rounding out the week on July 26 is the anniversary of MILLINERY CLASS The technique of making feather hats will be taught 6n the second floor of the textile building during the Illinois State Fair, Aug. 11-20.
