With a group of friends from McHenry several days were spent at beautiful Mackinaw Island. They had luncheon at Escanaba. The Smiths' son and daughter-in-law and two children came out for a cookout and fun at the beach during the early part of the week. They are due back home this weekend. I Attend Legion Auxiliary I Convention | Attending the Legion auxi iliary convention from Wonder I Lake last weekend were Mrs. Marian Cannon, ,as county president, and Mrs. Nancy Elbersen and Mrs: Lorraine Stahl, as delegates of the local chapter. The convention was held at the Morrison hotel in Chicago July 27, 28 and 29. * The local auxiliary reporls the recent card party a successful money raising venture and are grateful to all for their generous donations and for tlifir attendance.
