Fuhrer, of 7401 Center drive, Wonder Lake, have been named cochairmen of the McHenry county division of The Children's Hour, Chicago's 1961 cystic fibrosis fund drive to raise $100,000 for research in the mysterious infants' and children's disease for which there is no known cure. The announcement was made jointly by Mrs. Donald Williams, of Clarendon Hills, president of the Chicago chapter of the National Cystic Fibrosis Research foundation, and Robert C. Atherton, general chairman of the drive. "We hail two children who died of cystic fibrosis," Mrs. Fuhrer stated on accepting the appointment. "Our daughter, Joy, died in 1956 and our son, Lee, 11, in 1959. Lee had had twenty-two admissions to Children's Memorial hospital in Chicago with forty-two bronchoscopies to remove mucus from lungs.
