WELCOME Editor Adele Froehlich, at left, and Assistant Editor Marie Yegge are shown in the office of the Plaindealer's new home, preparing copy for next week. In addition to the many news stories which keep the public informed on happenings ill McHenry throughout the year, columns from fourteen correspondents, as well as club news, must be edited as it arrives weekly. We, the staff of the McHenry Plaindealer, extend a cordial invitation to friends and readers to visit us in our new home at 3812 W. Elm street during open house. There is ample parking for all. We will be here to explain some of the phases of the printing and publishing business we feel are of most interest to the public. Several of our file?, starting with 1875, will be available for viewing. Many of our readers we have never had the opportunity to meet, and we feel this is an ideal time to become acquainted. : I •* Above pictured are the linotypes which produce the thousands of words that go into the advertising and news columns of each newspaper. At left is Don Roths, who is at work on advertising copy for the next issue, while at right Stan Sweeney sets a news story. The machine in middle was added to our new office and is expected to be in use in the near future. About 3,360 inches of type are set by these two men for use in each Thursday's paper.
