CONVENIENCE IS THE CCIVEM@¥I of supermarket merchandising. The basic idea is to make a large variety of goods available in a single place, in recognition of the fact that many people value a saving in time. America's banks have long recognized that fact. Before the retail supermarket was born, they were offering a wide range of banking facilities "under one roof"; and today they continue to serve as "supermarkets of financial service," enabling their neighbors to attend to everyday money matters with true convenience.
