Soloist for the service was Mrs. Irene Keim, who sang "Because," "Oh Promise Me" and "The Lord's Prayer". She was accompanied by Mrs. Carrie Lou Thomas. The bride was charming in a full length gown styled with fitted bodice of chantilly lace oyer taffeta, the skirt featuring lace medallions dotted with pearls and sequins on taffeta. The bodice had long pointed sleeves which tapered at the wrist, and a sabrina neckline edged with pearl sequins. Her crown of pearls and crystals held in place an elbow length veil and she carried a white Bible, a gift of the groom, with white orchid on it and streamers of stephanotis. For her "something old," she had a handkerchief belonging to her great-grandmother. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Jacqueline Skidmore of Ringwood, and bridesmaids were Anita Beckenbaugh of McHenry and Shirley Rickert of Crystal Lake. They wore mint green taffeta dresses styled with short sleeves, scoop necklines, with lace over taffeta bodices, and full skirts. Their headpieces were of matching taffeta in the shape of a bow. They carried colonial bouquets of pink and white carnations. Herbert Brooke of Ingleside, brother of the groom, served as best man, and groomsmen were Don McCracken, the bride's brother, and Bob Ford of Crystal Lake. Ushers were Dean McCracken, her brother, of Bensenville, Cal Heidenreich of Crystal Lake and Danny Brooke of Crystal Lake, the groom's brother. The bride's mother chose a beige sheath dress of silk organza over taffeta, matching accessories and a pink sweetheart rose corsage. Mrs. Don McCracken was guest registrar, and assisting with serving were Mrs. Herbert Brooke, Ingleside; Miss Lois May, McHenry, and Mrs. Dean McCracken, McHenry. The couple left later for Colorado, the bride travelling in a beige silk shantung sheath dress. Upon their return, they will reside on Center street. The bride is a graduate of McHenry high school and has a secretarial position with Northern Illinois Gas company in Crystal Lake. Mr. Brooke is a graduate of Crystal Lake high school and of Northern Illinois university in DeKalb last June. He will teach at Miss Kathryn Ann Hiller and Mr. Marvin E. Bauer exchanged puptial vows last Saturday, Aug. 19, in a nuptial ceremony performed in St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Johnsburg. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hiller ol 2204 Johnsburg road, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Olivia Bauer of 813 N.'"'Center street. Rev. Fr. Blitsch officiated at I he 10 o'clock service, for which the children's choir sang. The altars were decorated for the occasion with bouquets of white glads. The lovely young bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a white silk organza dress over taffeta,, the bodice of which was scalloped and the scoop neckline trimmed in satin applique. The dress wa.i styled with short, shirred sleeves, full flared skirt with scroll satin applique around the center to the back, fajling iftto a shoit train. The flower girl was the bride's godchild, pretty Nancy Blake. The attendants were attired similarly in pink nylon organza, princess style dresses, ballerina length, with cap sleeves, V-neckline, and deeper pink flowers on the bodice, which featured a cummerbund of deep pink from front panel to waistline, continuing into two fly-panels to the hem in back. Their hats were bow-shaped crowns with blusher veils, and t hey wore deep pink accessories. Their colonial bouquets were of carnations, with eight pink roses in the center. The pearls and white gloves they wore were gifts from the bride. Nancy wore a similar type of dress, floor length, and carried a miniature colonial bouquet. Loren Miller of Richmond, cousin of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were Ted Schaefer, Martin Foley and Bob Hettermann, friends. Harry Smith, brother-in-law of the groom, and Dick Hiller, cousin ol the bride, were ushers. Mrs. Hiller chose a beige lace dress, with gathered skirt featuring lace applique, matching accessories and a white rose corsage. Mrs. Bauer wore a light blue lace sheath dress with white accessories and a similar corsage. Dinner was served at Hettermann's at noon for thirtyfour members of the immediate families and wedding party. Later, 400 gathered at the Johnsburg Community club tor a reception. The newlyweds left on a twoweek trip to Florida, and upon their return will reside at 2308 Johnsburg road, McHenry. The bride is a 1959 graduate of McHenry high school and is employed as secretary for Jacob Fritz Real Estate. The groom graduated in 1956 and is a carpenter for the George Hiller Construction Co. Page-Vecchi Vows Exchanged Christ the King Catholic church in Wonder Lake was the scene of a beautiful wedding last Saturday morning, Aug. 19, when Miss Celia Ann Page, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Page, became the bride of Mr. Charles D. • Vecchi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Vecchi of Des Moines, Iowa. Rev. Fr. James Vanderixwl officiated at the 11:30 o'clock service. Mrs. Carl Weber was organist, and soloists were Mary Ann Wegener and Adele Froehlich. Acolytes at the nuptial Mass were Jimmy Meyers of Johnsburg and Tommy Tucker of Des Moines, nephews of, the couple. The blonde bride approached the altar, radiant in a long white, silk organza gown over taffeta, fashioned with a front panel down the skirt and two back panels, the latter extending into a chapel train. The back of the dress featured a three-tier bustle topped with an organza rose, and the bodice had a high scalloped neckline anrl short lace sleeves. Her aurora bor'balis crown held a tingertip veil and she carried a cascade bouquet of stephanotis and Amazon lilies. Attending the bride were Jean O'Brien of McHenry as maid of honor, wearing blue; and bridesmaids, Vickie Tucker of Des Moines, sister of the groom, in pink; Miarie Harmon and Carol Page of McHenry, iu orchid and yellow respectively. The junior bridesmaid was Miss Page's niece, Mary Lynn Meyers of Johnsburg, who wore green. The gowns vs ere short silk organza over taffeta, styled with full skirts in three tiers, and scoop necklines. They wore headpieces of matching bows, with circular veils, and carried yellow roses. Their gifts from the bride were pearl necklaces, earrings and gloves which they wore for the ceremony. Gene Kirk of McHenry, a business associate of the groom, served as best man, and groomsmen were Joe Kirvin of Cummins, Iowa, and Tony Rozboril of Chicago, friends, Larry Vecchi of Minneapolis, brother of the groom, and Wally Miller of Ringwood. Ushers were Charles Hamilton of Highland Park and 250 friends and relatives assembled there for a reception. The newlyweds left on a trip, one week of which will be spent in the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania and the other visiting Niagara Falls and Canada. Upon their return they will reside at 2428 W. Greening road, McHenry. The bride is a graduate of McHenry high school and Illinois Wesleyan university and is a teacher in the Johnsburg public school. Her husband attended Dowling boys' academy in Des Moines, spent one year al St. Bernard's seminary in Cullman, Ala., and attended Bryant - Stratton business college in Chicago. He is in business with Mr. Kirk in Cre-Ad Mail, Inc., Chicago. Charles Hamilton hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday evening for thirty guests. OSRITAL llotiu Friends here will be sorry to learn that Elmer Koerner of Naperville, a former music teacher in the local high school, suffered a heart attach while conducting the "Christmas in July" program in that city, and last week was still confined to the Naperville hospital. At the same time, the Koerners' son, Harold, was a patient at Illinois Research hospital, Chicago, where he underwent surgery for a blood condition. a white and lavender print orlon dress, lavender hat and beige accessories. Green street. ROY BIGGS MARRIED IN ELGIN AUG. 12 In the presence of only the immediate families and a few close friends, Jean Adams of Miami, Fla., formerly of Elgin, was married on Aug. 12 to Roy E. Biggs, also of Miami. Mr. Biggs is a former resident of McHenry. The ceremony was performed at 4 p.m. in the private chapel of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church, Elgin, with the Rev. Edwin. A. Haefer as officiating minister. Attendants were the brotherin- law and sister of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Fabrick.
