RECONSTRUCTION OF LOCAL ROAD RECEIVES VETO ' During this past week, Governor Kerner vetoed a bill calling for an appropriation of $38,000 from the road fund to the Department of Public Works and Buildings to reconstruct a road from a township road in Nunda township to the McHenry dam. In making hip decision, he said that the use of state funds at this time on this kind of road would lie highly questionable, as it ranks vpry low in the priority of ri>c»ds which should be built on tiie basis of relative state-wide needs as determined by the engineer of the Division of Highways and^tey-sjther methods. The gda/ernor\dded that the road has mever b^n dedicated for publicxvise, although over the years local residents have used it for local traffic.
