Terry Coates The next monthly meeting of McHenry Shores Club, Inc., will be held at the V.F.W. clubhouse on Route 120 on Thursday, Dec. 7. The meeting is scheduled to be called to order at "8 p.m. At the November meeting it was decided to mail out copies of the proposed bylaws to all members for perusal by them. It is hoped that they can be voted on at the pecember meeting, Also on the agenda is the nomination of three directors •to serve three year terms , and one to serve a two year term. •The nominating committee has a slate to present and nominations will also be taken fronf the floor. The election. of - the directors will take place at the January, 1962, meeting of the club. All members are requested to attend these meetings so that you may express your selection on the ballot. Those unable to attend may vote by proxy by securing an absentee ballot from - the recording secretary,' Mrs! May you enjoy many more together. ^Reading on Federation of Women's Clubs At the monthly meeting of the McHenry Women's club, Mrs. Charles L. MacCallum. chairman of the legislative committee, gave a very interesting reading on the subject of "Federation of Women's Clubs." Identification Car Stickers A supply of car stickers have bfeferi received by Willis H. Coates, treasurer of McHenry Shores Club, Inc. Any resident of,the McHenry Shores subdivision who desires to purchase one may secure same from the treasurer at 3010 Still Hill Drive or at the next meeting of the club. These stickers are for identification purpose only to show residence in an unincorporated area. Last Sunday our M.Y.F. were guests of the McHenry Methodist church M.Y.F. They enjoyed a wonderful movie. I didn't get the name, but it starred Rock Hudson. This coming Sunday, Nov. 26, Senator Robert McClory will be guest speaker. His topic of the evening, which should be of great interest to us all is about communism. The public is invited to attend. It starts at 6:30 and refreshments will be served. If you can possible make it, it would be an evening well spent. Engaged Congratulations to the young people who have announced their engagement. Stanley Darmody and Lola DuPree became engaged at the anniversary party given for Lola's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rostow who were married 50 years. Refreshments will be served. Attends Funeral The Joe Murray family attended the funeral of Joe's grandfather, Ralph Eilliot, last Tuesday in Sterling, 111. home. Surprise Party A surprise anniversary was held for George and Marilyn VanZevern. Blanche Haefliger attended a dinner in Chicago given by the Past Matrons Club of the Ravenswood Chapter on Nov. 16. Mary and Jay Story will be host to Mary's mother, dad, brother, daughter, Rose, and family for Thanksgiving dinner. Last Monday Vi Schuble and Lorraine Lindemann were initiated into the V.F.W.
