Sodality Christmas Party The Blessed Virgin Sodality will hold its annual Christmas party next Wednesday evening, Dec. 13, beginning at 6:30. A pot-luck supper will start the e v e n i n g s " f e s t i v i t i e s . S a n t a Claus has promised to make his yearly appearance and distribute gifts to one and all. Each member attending is asked to bring a dish to pass, a fifty cent exchange gift and something for the good Sisters' kitchen shower. Please note the date -- it is Wednesday, Dec. 13, and will be held in the community club hall. Don. Forester Christmas Parties The Juvenile girl Foresters' Christmas party is next Monday, Dec. 11. beginning at 6:30 in the community club hall. All ! ^ P-m memtjers are invited to attend and pre-school girls must be accompanied by their mother. Each member is asked to bring 30 cents for lunch and an exchange gift. Gifts will be distributed in ago groups such as: pre-school through fifth, a 25 cent gift, sixth and seventh grades, a 75 cent gift, anil eighth through high school a dollar gift. The lady Foresters will congregate in the community club hall on Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. for their pre-Christmas celebration. The pot-luck supper will precede a short business meeting followed by the singing of carols and a fifty cent gift exchange. A food shower will also take place this evening to supplement our good Sisters pantry. Members attending the holiday party are asked to bring a dish to pass, an exchange gift and an item for the kitchen shower. The boy Foresters will hold their holiday gathering in the club hall on Dec. 21. Each boy is asked to bring his designated irift for exchange. by- the adult Forester team in the near future. Next Sunday, two games will be played ih the public school gym starting at 2 p.m. Our team will oppose the Waukegan team in a game scheduled for 3 15. The following Sunday our team will oppose Richmond. Jim, who would have been 21 on Dec. 21. died of causes not known as yet while ">n ship enroute home from Japan. Woi"d was received by his family from the Navy department earlier this week. More information is said to be on the way soon. Jim was on board the U.S.S. Kowishiwi AO 146 at the time of his death. Funeral services are pending at the George Justen funeral directors. Before ending this meeting, the girls celebrated Judy StroigFs-birthday. Christ ma's carols were sung and the meeting was closed with the singing of "Taps". " The Girl Scouts of troop 378 started their Christmas project at last Tuesday's meeting. Denise Koch served her cookie treat to the girls near the end of this meeting. This troop made a trip to Barrington last Saturday to Witness a stage play of "Sihbad the Sailor", Which they thoroughly enjoyed.
