RELIGIOUS MOTIF ON INCREASE FOR CHRISTMAS CARDS Religious Christmas cards are btt the increase. Major greeting card publishers are offering a record number of religious motifs on this year's Christmas selections, acCordirly 1o a report from a leading publishing institute. Approximately 35 percent of the more than 3 billion cards tliat will be mailed this Christmas, will contain religious designs says the Institute. This is a 2 percent increase over 1960. The trend toward stressing the religious .significance of Christmas on greetings hqf, been growing steadily since the late 1940's. Fifteen years ago, less than 5 percent of ' the Christmas cards could be classified as religious in character. Once again, the "Madonna and Child" is the most popular of the religious designs, accord- * ing to the Institute, followed by the "Three Wise Men" and the "Holy Family". Other religious S motifs run the gamut froM drawings of open Bibles to the traditional snow . covered New- England church. Centuries ago, tiger hunting was a service required yearly of all able bodie^J males, in Korea. ^ (drowning ^Jouch . . . of loveliness for your "personal 'appearances" on festive holiday occasions is a flattering new hairdo . . . by f^iverdiJle ^Jj-airdtyHing, Studi -- GIFT CERTIFICATES AVAILABLE -- 1320 N.
