"CHRISTMAS EVE AT THE GARAGE" 'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the garage, Not an auto was stirring, not even a Dodge. The tires were all hung on the wall with care, In hopes that Santa would, -jfill them with air. And each radiator cap was ajar, so Santk might leave Anti-freeze for each Car., >1 The compacts were snuggled all warm in their sheds, And visions of accessories 'danced in their heads. "Caddy" in her convertible top, and Lincoln .'in his hardtop. Had just settled down for a long night's stop. When out on the driveway they heard such a, clatter. The Eord jumped up ta see what Was the matter. Out into the snow he dashed like a flash, He thought at first it was a run-away. Nash. But what vi$\his wondering headlights appeared. But a big Madk truck, and no tiny reindeer. And Santa \Vas sitting, all warm in his truck And he chuckled with glee at his wonderful "So many cars!" he laughed, "At just one spot, "Just by stopping right here I can unload a. lot, "And make my load lighter by many a gift, "So I'll be less likely to get stuck in a drift." So he set right to work as he had much to do. He adjusted each wheel and each tiny hrake shoe. Then he filled all the tires and the radiators too. There was a spotlight for Olds, and a jack for the Ford. And a lap robe that folds for the old fashioned Cord. And a set of Van Aukens he had as a spare, For the big Hudson Hornet, because they are rare. And a new set of hub caps for the Chevy Bel-aire. When he'd finished his job. Santa didn't say much, He just started his motor and threw in his clutch. But as he roared down the street he was heard to remark -- "I must be very fleet, for it's getting quiet dark. "It looks like a storm and I've still lots to do -- "So Merry Christmas to all. and ESPECIALLY YOU!" :k luckI ot, f w - s T MERRY NT. CORP. 1311 N. Riverside DR.
