Sharing honors with club member in all states will be nearly 310,700 men and women who serve as unpaid volunteer leaders and guide 4-H work in local communities throughout the fifty states and Puerto Rico. Students Follow Flight on Radio Another wonderful use for Harrison school's intercom was demonstrated last Tuesday morning when the entire stu- ; dent body was able to follow Lt. Col. Glenn's orbital ride from their classrooms with high fidelity reception. Other school news is that Mr. Thomas will be in Nevada, from March 4 to 8 attending the convention of the association for supervision and curriculum deve lopment. The theme of this seventeenth annual meeting will be "Correlating Educations Resources". Also on Harrison's agenda is the annual basketball roundrobbin elimination tournament to be held at Grant high school in Fox Lake this year. A delicious roast beef dinner will be served, and after the initiation ceremonies thci-c will be music for dancing. Don't forget this coming Sunday evening. Dinner will be served promptly at 5 p.m. Bring your wife or" lady friend. We have quite a few lost articles being held at the Legion home. If the losers will identify these articles they will be returned to them. Cojj&idering the weather, there was a wonderful turnout for the Viscounts' color guard contest which was held on Feb. 18. Everyone present was thrilled by the precision drilling shown by these marvelous corps. Our own Viscounts and newly formed Vikettes gave excellent exhibition^ At this time, let us give bur congratulations to the newly formed Lakemoor drill team which appeared on exhibition for the "first time. They showed that, they have the makings of a first class team. It has been reported that Ernie Schroeder, who has been on the srek list, is now recovering. We are glad to hear this, Ernie, and hope that we will be seeing you around very soon.
