The program is sponsored by the Home and School association of-St. John's church. Those who attend will learn how to prepare tempting meals from simple, e a s y-to-prepare recipes. There will be appetizers, meats, salads and lenten dishes. All members are urged to attend. "Turnabout Twist" In McHenry This Friday The R i n g w o o d Methodist Youth Fellowship group is having a dance called "Turnabout Twist," and remind the girls that is their chance to do the inviting. It will be held at the McHenry Legion home on Friday, March 23, from 7:30 to 11 p.m. All 'teen-agers are invited to attend. Riverview Camp Observes 51st Year Riverview Camp No. 6818, R.N.A., celebrated its fifty-first birthday at K. of C. hall, Tuesday evening. A 'pot-luck dinner was served and an evening of fun enjoyed. Films of last year's events were shown and games played. Gifts were presented to charter members, who are Miss Rose Huemann, Mrs. Kathryn Freund, Mrs. Ethel Holly, McHenry, and Mrs. Sue Froeming of Elmhurst. PERSONALS Sunday guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Justen were Dr. and Mrs. Paul Justen and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Owen Higgins and son, Joe, of Flossmoor. Navyman Thomas Murphy spent a week in the Carl Weber home with his family who have been here for several weeks. On Monday the Murphy family returned to San Diego, Calif. Michael Thill and son. David, of Aurora spent Sunday in McHenry. David was a member of the Our Lady of Good Counsel of Aurora team which played in the Catholic Order of Forester state basketball tournament at the local high school gym. U. Attending the bride were her sister, Doris Brooks, of Crystal Lake and Miss Anna Maria Lopez of Island Lake. The groom had Jerry Huckstedt of Wauconda as best man and Richard Olson of Island Lake as groomsmen. The bride, a 1961 graduate of the local high school, has been employed at Home State bank. Texas, will observe their sixi ieth wedding anniversary March 29. It will be a quiet, celebration since Mr. Seyfferth has been confined to bed since suffering a stroke several weeks ago. Every year about this time the girls are busily engaged in this sale to help earn funds for their day camp and permanent camp facilities and their own individual troop projects. There will be three types of cookies this year, a creme sandwich, thin chocolate mint, peanut butter oat ties, plus a lantern pak of nuls. The girls will be taking orders which will be filled in a few weeks. The young man, a 1961 graduate of the McHenry high school who has been almost a straight "A" student at the University of Illinois, was also selected for t h e freshman mathematics program at the semester. William, whose hobby has been weight lifting for a number of years, placed second in the intra-mural weight lifting competition. Fidler of 3100 W. Riverstream drive, McHcnry, has earned academic honors for the first six week's grading period of the second semester at Wentworth Military academy. He earned superior grades to qualify for the dean's special distinction list. Cadets who earn academic honors during the specified grading periods at Wentworth are accorded extra privileges :-nd are permitted to wear the scholastic bar on their uniforms.
