The pewis of the church were decorated with flowers and bows, and the altar had bouquets of white glads and mums. The petite bride approached the altar wearing a -floor length silk organza dress with ; alencc.n lace and pearls. It was styled with a scalloped neckline and short sleeves, the skirt extending into a chapel length train. Her bouffant veil : fell from a crown of pearls and crystals. She wore a single i strand of pearls, a gift of the I groom, and her flciwers were i white orchids and carnations. • Acting as maid of honor was | the bride's sister. Miss Mary I Etheridge. and bridesmaids | were three friends, Sandra i Jones and Lois May of Mc- 1 Heni\V and Sue Spuehr of Wonder Lake. They wore Italian j silk dresses in peach color, ! sheath style, with white lace jackets. They had matching headpieces and carried bouquets of peach and white miniature roses. Gene Smith of Crystal Lake served as best man and groomsmen were Ron Welter of Franklin Park, Ron Wilks and Tom Croake of Woodstock. Henry Comingore and Tom Etheridge were ushers. Mrs. Etheridge was attired in a pale gold sheath dress with jacket in imported silk, and she wore matching accessories. Mrs. Overton wore a beige jacket sheath dress with pale green accessories. Immediately following the wedding, forty guests gathered at the home of the groom's parents for breakfast, and in the evening 225 friends and relatives attended a reception in the V.F.W. hall in Woodstock. The young couple are enjoying a two-week honeymoon trip through the southern states. They will make their home at 609 Dane street, Woodstock. The bride is a graduate of the McHenry high school and is a private secretary at Butler Brothers in DesPlaines. The groom is a Woodstock high school graduate and is employed as a tool and die maker in Crystal Lake. Franklin Bohlin of 800 E. Chicago street, Elgin, and Mr. Ronald Paul Albert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Albert of 800 S. Cook street, Barrington, formerly of McHenry. Pastor Walter Herborn officiated at the 4 o'clock nuptial rite. Florence Hale was soloist, singing "Song of Ruth" and "The Lord's Prayer" in a church decorated with white flowers and palms on the altar. The pretty bride wore a satin faced, silk organza dress with fitted bodice and solitaire neckline accented with large medallions of re-embroidered alencon lace and seed pearls. It was styled with long tapered sleeves and full skirt caught in the back with self fabric roses sweeping into a chapel train. She had a cascade bouquet of gardenias. Miss Bohlin had a two-tier fingertip, silk illusion veil held by an heirloom crown of wax orange blossoms which were worn by her grandmtither sixty-three years ago. Cheryl Golay of Chicago acted as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Gayle Iden and Janice Vollman of Elgin,'- Denise Bohlin of Villa Park was the pretty flower girl. Miss Golay wore an allwhite cotton brocade, floor length dress with fitted bodice and dome skirt. A bow at the back of the neckline held the panel which fell the full length of the dress. The bridesmaids' gowns were styled identically in pale blue. All earned cascade bouquets of white gardenias and blue cornflowers. Denise wore a matching floor length dress. Michael K. Ludwig of Hollywood, Fla., served as best man and Gary Golay and Kurt Erikson of Elgin were groomsmen. Mrs. Bohlin chose a turquoise lace over beige dress, matching accessories and a cymbidium orchid corsage. The groom's mother wore a blue dacron dress with matching accessories and a similar corsage. Ushers were Donald Freund of Crystal Lake, uncle of the: bride, and Paul Petticlair of Waukegan, a cousin. The mothers of both the bride and groom wore for the wedding light green dresses with orchid applique and dark green sashes. They had matching hats and corsages of white roses and stephanotis. For the reception, they had light blue dresses and matching hats. Twenty-four members of the bridal party and two families enjoyed breakfast at the bride's fyome, and later, 300 guests gathered at the V.F.W. for a reception. The couple left for the Wisconsin Dells for a one-week wedding trip, and will reside in one of the Tonyan apartments at 1308A N. Front street. The bride is a 1960 graduate of the McHenry high school. The groom graduated from the local high school and on June 8 of this year from the University of Illinois school of pharmacy. He is employed as a pharmacist at the Nye drug store in McHenry. Barbara Hirt Wed Saturday twenty-t, aara A>m Hirt, r. and / Mrs. J. ceived training at Presbyterian St. Luke's hospital and attended Elgin Community college. She is now a supervisor at Little City. Palatine. The groom attended Iowa State university and is employed with Edward Lange, Builders. The couple exchanged vows on the wedding anniversary of the bride's parents. The groom's father was formerly composing room foreman at the Plaindealer office. SHOP IN McHENRY St. Johii Lutheran Church in Island Lake was the scene of a pretty June wadding last Saturday, the twenty-^, h i r ci, when Miss Barba daughter of Mr. Glenn Hirt of 3104 Riverside road, McHenry, became the bride of Mr. Robert John Zimmerman of 475 Everett, Crystal Lake, son of the John H. Zimmermans of 232 Crystal street, Cary. Pastor Nieting officiated at the 11 o'clock nuptial ceremony. Special music offered during the service included "Where Thou Goest" and excerpts from "The Messiah". The church altar was decorated for the occasion with two large sprays of assorted white flowers, while the pews had mums and ferns tied with white bows. The pretty, blonde bride wore a long sleeved gown of silk organza, styled with scalloped neckline in alencon lace. She had fresh white flowers in a halq-shaped headpiece, including lilies of the valley and stejphanotis, and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley and blue daisies. Acting as matron of honor was Mrs. Roy Carlson of 2214 W. Manor, McHenry, and junior bridesmaid was Miss Robin Zimmerman of 475 Everett, Crystal Lake. Mrs. Carlson wore a pale blue dress covered with white lace, her headpiece was of stephanotis and she carried a bcuquet of white mums and blue daisies. Both Robin Zimmerman and the flower girl, Raven Zimmerman of Crystal Lake, had similar dresses in pale blue dresses with bodices of eyelet and schiffli lace. They carried nosegay bouquets of white mums and pale blue daisies. Edwin D. Krause of 200 Fairway drive, Clear Lake, Iowa, served the groom as best man. Mrs. Hirt chose1 for her daughter's wedding a threequarter sleeve dress with bodice of beige lace and circle skirt of silk organza. Mrs. Zimmerman wore a green floral print. A luncheon was served at the Swedish House in Elgin for between seventy-five and 100 guests, after which the young couple left for a wedding trip to the Bahamas. They will reside at 475 Everett, Crystal Lake. The bride is a graduate of Wauconda high school and N o r t h e r n I l l i n o i s u n i v e r s i t y . She has been employed as a teaching principal at Valley View school.. The groom, a graduate of Crystal Lake high s c h o o l a n d e l e c t r o t y p e r ' s school, is employed as an electrotyper. MISS BRZEZINSKI WED JUNE 23 TO JOHN J. SPEARS PERSONALS Miss Rosanne Briezinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casimir F. Brzezinski of 121 S. Sheridan road, (Lakemoor) McHenry, became the bride of Mr. John J. Spears, son of Mrs. Rita Spears of 1505 River drive, Glen Ellyn, last Saturday, June 23, in a 10 o'clock ceremony solemnized at St. Mary's Catholic church. Rev. Albert Rennell officiated at the nuptial rite, for which the children's choir offered appropriate music. The church was decorated with bouquet£v©f gladioli and pom poms. The pretty, dark-haired bride approached the aitai wearing a chantilly lace dress with lace bodice decorated with pearls. It was styled with a three-tier, full skirt extending into a chapel train. Her headpiece consisted of white roses surrounding a clustcr of pearls, to which a fingertip veil was attached, and she Scarried a cascade bouquet of white roses. Miss Katherine Brzezinski of Lakemoor was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Jillian Parbst of May wood and Katherine Spears of Glen Ellyn. Junior bridesmaid was Mary Ann Brzezinski of Lakemoor and flower girl was Rita Schlotterer of Glen Ellyn. All were attired in white lace and nylon, ballerina length dresses. with poudre blue shoulder capes. They wore poudre blue, elbow length gloves, blue shoes and sequintrimmed/ crowns with blue blusfveils. Their bouquets -were of pink carnations tied with blue ribbons. Honore, Chicago, was married last Saturday, June 23, to Mr. George Scarbrough, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Scarbrough of this area. Rev. Fr. Loren Miller from Ogden, Utah, was in McHenry last week to attend the funeral of his father, Fred Miller. He returned to Utah Sunday.
