The lucky little pal put in her appearance at St. Joseph's hosnital in Elgin, on ^Aug. 27. weighing in at 7 lbs., ^5 ozs. She will answer to the namo of Robin Therese. Robin's father returned home from Army duty to bring his wife and new daughter home from the hospital. Congratulations to parents and grandparents. Any donations of articles will be greatly appreciated. Sr. Hi M.Y.F. News The Ringwood senior high £ M.Y.F. joined the Soring Grove group on Sunday. Sept. 2, for their evening meeting. Following the introductions and worship service prepared by our hosts, members were entertained with lively recreation. Then they had an interesting group discussion. The next meeting will be Sept. 16 at the church at 7 p.m. Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. before the regular meeting. Birthday Party Saturday, Sept. 8, a double birthday party was held for "Porky" Bacon and Tommy Low. The first and second grades and their parents attended the party. Cake and ice cream was served. Srhmitt Family Holds Annual Reunion On Sunday 148 persons attended the annual Schmitt family reunion at Fox River Park at Wilmot, Wis. The sun shone for the boys and men to get in a ball game after feasting on many good things to eat. There were only a few families unable to attend. From Ringwood at the picnic were Mr. and Mrs. Roland Bauer and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brennan and family. Vsiitors Mr. and Mrs. Lester Carr were guests in the home of iheir son. Charles, at Harvard on Thursday. Miss Pat' Hogan and guest and Miss Gail Marquart, and guest took in the music festival at Chicago on Friday evening. Visitors in the John Ehlert home were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ehlert of Richmond. Mrs. Nellie Hepburn was an over-night guest in the Kenneth Brennan home at New Munster, Wis., over Labor Day. Millie Rush of Richmond spent the weekend in the Mr. and Mrs. John Ehlert home. Mrs. Ila Hogan attended the Home Bureau meeting on Tuesday afternoon in the home of Mrs. Benson at Wonder Lake. Gladys, Nancy and David Wiegje of Morton. 111., spent Tuesday evening in the Mrs. Ruby Shepard home. Mr. and Mrs. John Finel of Chicago spent Friday morning visiting in the Mrs. Nellie Hepburn home. Mrs. Allen Ainger of Hebron visited her mother-in-law. Page Nine APPOINT NEW SCOUT EXECUTIVE FOR THIS COUNTY Wayne Sampson, 1329 N. Madison, Woodstock, has accepted the executiveship of the Kishwaukee district, it was announced by Reinhold G. Miller, Scout executive of the Blackhawk Area council. The Kishwaukee district is composed of all the units in McHenry county. Mr. Simpson has just recently been discharged from military duty, having been a filler in the 32nd division of the United States army. He is a graduate of the National Training School held at Mendham. N. J., which he attended after completion of a course at the University of Illinois. His major at the university was in agriculture extension. His first professional position in the Boy Scouts of America, was in Champaign, where he began his career in October of 1956. From there he was called into military service and returned to Champaign after a tour of duty. Mr. Sampson was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Explorer as a boy and served in a leadership capacity prior to becoming a District Scout executive. McCullom Lake road, McHenry, has been accepted for enrollment at Marmion Military academy, Aurora, and has begun his freshman studies there. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent W. Charles, he is a graduate of St. Patrick grammar school in McHenry. At Marmion, he will pursue courses designed to prepare him effectively for higher education. since Marmion has an exclusively college-preparatory program with a consistent level of achievement. Last year. 98 per cent of the Marmion graduating class went on to college.
