Also on Saturday Irene and A1 May attended the wedding of their niece who was married, fit St. Benedict's church in Chicago. A reception was held where A1 and Irene had a .good time dancing and visiting with relatives and friends. Camp-ant Stevie Williams enjoyed an overnight camp-out with his sixth grade Sunday school class at the Harry Hans property Sunday. Birthday Joining in to help celebrate the ninth birthday of Johnnie Mfetzger Sunday were his Godparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Bradatsoh, and their three children of Chicago. Wonder of Nature The Roggenbuch family drove up to Zion State Park along Lake Michigan Sunday to enjoy the beautiful autumn scenery that nature gives us in October. Going along with them was Mrs. Mackinson who enjoyed getting out for a day of rest and relaxation. St. John's Home and School Association The monthly meeting of the Home and School association will be held Monday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m. at the community hall. Visitors and Visiting Saturday night visitors at our home were cousin Bob and Joyce Lehman of Ingleside and our aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. C. Lehman of Kankakee. Lu and Ernie La Bay and Ernie's toother and his wife enjoyed a visit to Chinatown for dinner and; took in a movie «at tone of the theataes in downtown Chicago Saturday night. iThe DePauws and the Roggenbuchs enjoyed a friendly game of card playing at the home of Chris and LaMarr Williams Saturday. Don and Cammy Gaylord and their two children journeyed to Milwaukee Sunday to visit with her sister and other relatives. The senior Harringtons spent the weekend at the home of t h e i r d a u g h t e r , T e r e s e , in Highland Shores. The senior Lehmans were t r e a t e d to d i n n e r S u n d a y . Daughter, Lois, and her husband, Jim, arid their three children arrived with food and refreshments for the day. It was quite a surprise for Ed and Gertrude.. Fritz and Nora visited With old schodl chums, Bob and Barbara Nealing, in Northbrook Monday. Spending the day with Mrs. Mackinson Tuesday were her daughter, Helen, and two of her lady friends from Deerfield. After playing golf the girls enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Gert. Prospect. , More Girl Scout News Alice Bieschke's troop started their meeting with the promise and a Girl Scout song. Cookie hostesses were Karen Hettermann and Mary Mc- Inerny. The girls have to plan their own recreation and this week Mary Jo Kennebeck and Rosemary Thelen did a song and dance routing. Plans were also made for future trips. The meetings art held at the public school every Thursday from: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The girls from this area who belong to this large troop are Kathy Harrington, Doreen Patterson, Pauline and Leona Schneider, Rhonda Schultz, Debbie Obstfelder and Connie J ablonski. PISTAKEE TERRACE Joyce Toepper 385-SOtt Dance Tickets Oat The Pistakee Terrace Women's auxiliary met Thursday evening at the Loretta Kern home. A report was given on the successful rummage sale and discussion centered around the immediate projects such as the Christmas cards, Halloween children's party, and the Nov. 17 dance to be held at the American Legion in Mc- Henry. Tickets were given to volunteers who will see that every one in the subdivision is contacted and given the-chftrice to support the association. Following is the list of these volunteers and the areas they will distribute to: Loretta Kern, Circle Drive; Pat Merhaut, El- ^der -Avenue and Poplar JDrive; Dorothy Parker, OakTeaxAvenue; Louise Jankowski, Hickoryway Drive, Riverdale Drive, and May Avenue; Cindy Kettn e r , M a p l e l e a f D r i v e ; and Joyce Toepper, Elmleaf Drive and Terrace Avenue. Girl Scoot News Susie and Nancy Roggenbuch and Greta Martin from Troop 408 enjoyed an overnight camping trip over the weekend at Hawthorne Hills in Elgin. Sheila Smith and Mary Kay Fredricks from Troop 378 went on a cook-out and hike in Wilmot Park Saturday. Boy Scout News Chuckie Fritz, Corey Patter- Son and Richie Fredricks of Tro6r 144 enjoyed a camping trip in Richmond for the weekend. Brownies Troop 150 divided into two patrols of six girls each and selected their own leader and name on Tuesday. Patrol number one, the Princesses, Is headed by Mary Beth Williams and Patrol number two, the Angels, is led by Chefcyl Kinder. Their day was packed with making inspection and good deed c,ards and a Columbus day project. April Pri^chard w<as cookie hostess, Audrey £>eliga was server and Lay erne Mjerzwa was the mother helper. Saturday, Oct. 20, the girls are planning a cook-out at the beach. If bad weather persists they will retreat to the Seliga garage. Monday, the mothers gathered for a meeting tp discuss the girls' activities. There was some discussion as to the possibility of baton twirling lessons at some of their meetings and they are looking for a teacher for it now. Mahoney and family of Pell Lake. Jim Deppmeifer received an !aw&rd from his company recently as he completed, in September, six years of safe driving, with his semi-truck. The Merbauts attended the Saturday wedding of Elizabeth Schrang to Richard Burns in Chicago. Marie Kern accompanied her son, Jerry, to Cleveland, Ohio, Saturday through Tuesday to Visit another son, Francis, and Mary Joyce Kern and their four year old daughter, Doreen. Sunday visitors Of the Parkers were her parents, Mr. and M r s . C h a r l e s S c h w e b k e , and friends, Mrs. Ivy Olver, and son, David, of Chicago. Sunday dinner guests at the Joe Benoche home were friends, and f o r m e r Wonder Lake neighbors, Ray and Jo Hansen, children, Earl, Lois and J e f f e r y . Ray H a n s e n was among the reserves called up last year and the Benoches hadn't seen them for some time. Louis and Betsy Persclike of the Terrace joined them for dinner. The project consisted of cigar boxes covered to look like the Scout handbook with puppets inside the boxes resembling their heros, the Cub Scouts. Jimmy Rhillipp was cookie host. Sick List Mr. Casey is recuperating very nicely, but cannot go back to work yet. Mrs. Tucker is out of the hospital and feeling a little better. Also present were the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicohlas Fedorohak Chicago; Jean's sister, Nancy Daugird of Wheaton, who was Nicole's godmother and the godfather, Ted Wienski of Chicago.
