Hazel Morley HVatt 7-3820 Kay Sielisch HYatt 7-8414 ?"* The meeting for the Cub ^Scouts Pack 452 was held Oct. 5 3. We have many enthusiastic \ Hew boys joining the Cubs this »year. We are sure the parents 'of these proud youngsters * share their enthusiasm and • realize what a great institution : Scouting is for boys. These ^parents also know what a real- «ly heart-breaking exeprience it would be if some of them . should have to be put on a waiting list because there are- ;n't enough mothers willing to spare a very small amount of time once a week in the capacity of den mothers. We have only two den mothers in the 'Highlands. Jean Megley and •Rosemary Lutz both have ^ small children of their own and *are piutting forth unbelievea- "ble efforts to keep their dens * together. The waiting list pro- •cedure has been used in other .packs and unless some new den "mothers come forth we will Jiave to disappoint some of these new boys and one of the Excluded boys might be your son. So if you can serve as a den mother please call Henry Zenner HYatt 7-3397. The regular monthly pack meeting of Pack 452 was held Oct. 10. The theme of the month was heros from books. Entertainment was provided by Den number 3 and exhibits wer& displayed by Dens 1, 2 and 4. Both parents should try to be present at the pack meetings as the boys work hard to put on an enjoyable program for their parents. Awards were presented and refresh m e n t s were served at the conclusion of the meeting.
