Everyone is invited to the awards party. Instead of trophies this year the prizes will be given. There will be no contest for business places this year. The contest is for homes only. Christ the King News Saturday, Decv 8, is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception -- a holy day of obligation. Masses will be at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Confessions "Saturday only: 7:30 to 7:50 a.m., 9:30 to 9:50 a.m. and as usual from 4 to 5 p.m. and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.. Mrs. John Dyck, had suffered a coronary attack and is confined to St. Mary of Nazareth hospital at 1112 N. Leavitt street in Chicago. Mrs. Dyck is well known here at the Lake and I'm sure some cards would be welcome. A Get-well Wish to Mrs. Marie Lissy of Wonderview who has undergone surgery and is confined to Woodstock hospital. We hope she will be recovered and home before Christmas time. Hospitalized Last Week Mrs. Sophia Marx, James Zudema, Edward Dee, Baby David Wright, Carlton Palmer, Baby Karen Vanderweil, Mrs. Clara Buttery, Debora Gildemeister, Richard Lawler, Stanley Samp, and Baby Donna Davis. Storksville News A young lady arrived from Storksville to live with her mom afid pop, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Holley, on; Nov. 28. She flew in by way of the Mc- Henry hospital. Completes Training Course Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Polka of 8712 Shady Lane in Highland Shores received word that their son, Marine Private Richard Polka, completed four weeks of individual combat training, Nov. 23, with the second infantry training regiment at Camp Pendleton, Calif. The training provides newly enlisted marines with a background of' experience in the field under combat conditions. Live-firing exercises are conducted in addition to field trips and classroom lectures. Good luck to you, Richard. Kiwanis. Lenny Freund, chair man of the agricultural committee, promoted the evening which saw twelve farmers respond as guests of the club. Speaker of the evening was Bill Becklinger of Union. His speech encompassed local business and trade as the basis of local economies. He noted the obstacles his orga n i z a t i o n faces, and highlighted his talk with figures on average farm investments, and the proportion of farms in this county controlled by big business. From these figures he based his opinions as to the average profit in farming today. Mr. Becklinger concluded his program by entertaining provocotive questions from our farm guests. Next week our speaker will be Stanley Blumberg of the McHenry Health Center. Looking forward a bit we have no program for Dec. 10 and there will be no meeting the twenty-fourth or thirtyfirst of the month. Directors Meeting -- Wonder Woods There will be a directors meeting at the home of Bob Sandgren Monday evening, Dec. 10. Mother of Local Resident Hospitalized All the friends of the L. J. Wines family were sorry to learn that Delores' mother, Highland Shores Election Two write-in candidates won the top spots in an election Wednesday night for the Highland Shores Property Owners association. Dick Westerfield was elected president of the organization on a write-in campaign over Donald Zeek and George Kulisek. Westerfield had 104 votes, Zeek 96 and Kulisek 30. Edward Johnson was the write-in winner in the vice-presidential vote with 95 votes to 71 for John Batjes and 57 for Thomas Dockery. Roberta Dicker was elected recording secretary with 132 votes while Gladys Anderson received 93. There were 232 votes cast in the election. Kiwanis News -- Nov. 26 Meeting This was Farmers' Night at Sympathy Friends were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Baker, mother of Nell Linderoth, long-time summer residents ot Wonders Woods. Belated Greetings To Niel Carlson who celebrated a birthday on Nov. 27. Wonder Woods Ladies Club Meets Fifteen ladies were present at Mary Sandgren's home Tuesday night, Nov. 27, for their monthly meeting. Mrs. Carlson, chair-lady, proposed have "pass the buck" parties again and all were in favor. There will be a welcoming committee, Helen Cope and Ruth Woodward, to acquaint new resi- Lilymoor NEW OFFICERS INSTALLED AT MEETING DEC. 11 Shirley Schuerr The next monthly meeting of the Lilymoor association will be held this coming Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the large hall of Club Lilymoor. At this meeting the new officers for the coming two years will be installed. Come out and meet your new officers for the years 1963-64. See you at the meeting. Snowball Dance Will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, in the large hall of Club Lilymoor. The dance will start at 9 p.m. Proceeds of the dance will be used to get playground equipment for the children. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the dance. See you at the dance? Come out and have a lot of fun. They didn't know anything about cerebral palsy, but in this modern day the foundation is working hard to help these who have cerebral palsy. They are also working hard to find the cure and the reason for C.P. On Sunday, Jan. 13, will be the 53 minute march for Cerebral Palsy. When a volunteer knocks on your door please give what ever you can. Those children and adults who have C.P. will be thanking you. Let's all give them a chance to lead-1 a normal life through the Cerebral Palsy foundation. Girl Scouts The Lilymoor „ Girl Scout Troops 309 and 267 enjoyed seeing many interesting pictures shown by Mrs. Glick of Lilymoor. Mrs. Glick is formerly of Germany. Thanksgiving Ida Legge enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the home of A1 and Pearle Stineman. Also enjoying dinner with A1 and Pearle was Pearle's son, Ed Krach, of Chicago.
