Belated Sick I4et Last week I overlooked mentioning one person who had quite a mishap. Dolores Gersteln fell and broke her arm two weeks ago. But being the sort of person she is, you just can't keep her down. She's even continued working with it in a cast. This week the only person I know of who has been ill is my brother-in-law. Bob Mikkelsen. Certainly hope all of you get well for the holidays and stay well during the coming year. Saddest News This item is the saddest I have had to. write thus far. Our dear friends and neighbors, Millie and George Kropf, received the tragic news that her father, Mike^Becvar, had passed away early Tuesday evening. Death of a loved one is hard enough to take at any time of the year, but when it comes-this close to such a joyous season it seems almost unbearable. Most of the neiuhbors of the Kropfs knew Mike from the many visits the family made out here. He was a lovable person who seemed to have nary a care in the world. His sudden death was a shock to all of us. and a shock beyond compare to his family. There are no words known that can convey to Mill and her family what we feel for her in our hearts at this time. On the (lo P.irthdavt greetings go this week to the following: Today Dec. 20, to Kathy Wegner, who will be eight years old. On Dec. 21 to Gloria Von Oepen. On Dec. 22 to George Owen. On' Dec. 23 to Paul Voight. who will lx* ten years old. to John Fiedler and to Norma Gunn. On Dec. 24 to Helen Brunhoefer. On Dec. 25. two gentlemen. Sol Kobus and Dale Kuntz. celebrate their birthday on the most famous of all birthdays. Christmas Day Happy birthday to all of you! Many, many more to follow.
