Neighbors and friends are invited to call either Sunday or Monday to visit with this very interesting lady, who maintains a keen mind and sense of humor in spite of her ninety years. Cards remain among her favorite hobbies, and at least once a month neighbors call lor a social evening of their favorite game. Usually they are Mrs. Louis Stoffel, Mrs. Math Drown and Mrs. FrejJ De- Thorn. Looking at Mrs. Bohr might give President Kennedy a talking point for his physical fitness program. Whether this early training in fitness was at all reoonsible for her longevity, Mrs. Bohr is not sure, but she recalls well the pleasure derived from this recreational pursuit. ' Mrs. Bohr was born in Volo in 1873, and in 1901 married George Bohr in Chicago. After nineteen years in Chicago, the couple moved to Seattle, Wash for* five years, then returned, and for about forty-five years Mrs. Bohr has been making McHenry her home. Since her husband's death, she has resided alone, and even at the age of 90 manages to cook and keep house for herself, as well as employing a "green thumb" on several plants which might well be the envy of more experienced gardeners. In spite of a broken hip suffered seven years ago, Mrs. Bohr manages to get around well with the aid of a cane. For many years she was active in Riverview camp of the Royal Neighbors of America, the Catholic Daughters of America and in work for her church. All of these activities ^he remembers with justifiable satisfaction as she enjoys a well earned rest.
