Hope you had a nice day. Birthday Doings A family birthday party was held on March 16, to help Mary Beth Humann celebrate her sixth birthday. Grandma and grandpa Humann, uncle Harold McGudre, uncle Phil and aunt Charlotte and four children, all came out from Chicago. Green cup cakes and ice cream and kool-aid were served to all these Irishmen. Wendy Dralle had ten girls over last Saturday to help her celebrate her thirteenth birthday which is March 21. The girls had fun dancing and of course enjoyed refreshments. Kathie Flannigan gave a surprise birthday party for hef girl friend, Pat Gilbertsen, last Friday evening at her home. It was Pat's fifteenth birthday and she was very much surprised. There were ten girts and all enjoyed barbecues, tuna salad, cake and cokes and had a gay time dancing up a storm. A surprise birthday party was held last luesday, March 19, for Lenora Abbott with some of the neighbors in on the celebration. Cards were pteyed and cake and caffee were served. Everyone had a grand time. Saturday, March 16, Vivian Steele celebrated her birthday with her mother, Florence Williams, her brothers, Russel and Edward, and her sister, Judy, and her fiance, George Halada, Mr. c-nd Mrs. HaJada, Sr., and their daughter, Joyce, from Broadview. They all enjoyed coffee and cake and afterwards played cards and the men played pool. On Sunday, March 17, the Steeles visited John's mother, Mrs. Betty Steele, in Bellwood where they also celebrated Vivian's birtbuay along with John's mother's birthday. They had a most enjoyable lime. Bfihy Shower Joan Schwegel had a surprise baby shower on March 10, for Pat Bruno. Thos? attending were Shirley Klapperich, Chris Foszcz, Alice Proroch, Betty Miner, Alma Brushaber, Mrs. Marcella, Clara Dillon and Joan's daughter, Pam. Pat received may beautiful things. Koffee Klatch Pat Bruno had a coffee klatch last Friday mining with Petey Oakford, Doris Bock, Joyce Dort, Mimi Ladd and Toots Gerstad. The girls then had a chance to see all the beautiful things Pat had received at her baby showet the week before. Visiting and Visitors The Grizelys' guests on Sunday, March 17, were Sue's mother, Mrs. Mester, and hev brothers and sister. They spent the day and celebrated Michael Mester's birthday which was March 7. On Saturday after bowling the Hearles, Matthews, Jancyzks and Wohnrades stopped in for strawberry short cake at the Grizelys'. The Faui Eu?zos spent Sunday in Chicago at the home of Jo's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Geltner, where they attended the christening of the Geltners' baby daughter, Nancy Joy. Bud and Donna Stoltz and family spent Sunday in BeJoit, Wis., at the home of t'teir aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Groversteen. It was Donna's birthday and her aunt had a surprise birthday party for her. Meet Tour Neighbor Meet your neighbors George and Kitty Hendle of 4506 W. Ramble Road. The Hendles have resided here for three aqd half years after moving from the Northwest side of Chicago. They have two fine boys, Johnny, age six, who attends kindergarten and Marty, age three. This happy couple met on a blind date and have been married for ten and a half years. George attended Steiinetz high school and is a sub contractor for cement finishing and also a carpenter. He enjoys hunting and fishing, and belongs to a hunting club and loves stock car racing. Kosior, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony L. Kosior of 4814 North Wilmot road, McHenry, is undergoing nine weeks of basic recruit training at the Naval Training cente^, Great Lakes. Army Pvt. Robert N. Hager Jr., whose parents live at 3201 Greenleaf drive, Wonder Lake, recently completed an eightweek construction drafting course at the Engineer center, Fort Belvoir, Va. Hager entered the Army m September, 1962, and completed basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. The 19-year-old soldier is a 1962 graduate of McHenry Community high school. USS RANGER--Stephen W.
