Brownie* Brownies Troop 150 has been busy preparing for their World pin badges. Much discussion at their last meeting centered around the upcoming presentation of these pins and the year buttons. The ©Brownies also practiced the World pin cere* mony. Carolyn Mierzwa read a fctory at-o recent meeting and plans for summer camp are being made. Cookie hostesses included Kathy Pflug for the last meeting in April and Audrey Seliga on May 1. Terrace Tidings Attending the falher-daughter banquet held in McHenry on Wednesday evening were Russell and Kathi Parker and Jim and Margaret Moore. The Davidson family saw Donna settled in her new apartment on Wednesday as she began her new job as director of parish education at the Ebernczer Lutheran Park church. Henry Gerali and family Visited the Benoche home on Sunday. Dad and Dee Gregg accompanied by their children, Laura and Carter, and Dee's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A1 Harris, Pistakee Hikhlands, dined at Crystal Lake Sunday evening in celebration ot their wedding anniversary. The George Ceckos attended two Chicago Cubs baseball games in the past week during George's vacation.. They saw the Cubs lose to the New York Mets on Wednesday but enjoyed the game much better on Saturday as the CUbs came fcut on top of the Philadelphia Phillies. Sunday visitors of the Russell Parkers were Dorothy's cousin, Art Schwebke, his wife, Sharon, and daughter of Berkley. Birthday Celebrations Thursday evening dinner guest in the Parker home in honor of Barbara's , twelfth birthday wis France* Klotz, Johnsburg; A combined birthday dinner was held at the Richard Stall home on Wednesday evening. Birthday celebrants included Joan, her twin brother, John Krelle, John's wife, Betty, and Cindy Stull. Attending the celebration were the Krelle children, Chicago, Joan's sister, Judy, ami husband, Jerry Pago, Morton Grove, and her mother, Mrs. LeNore Krelle, Chicago, along with the Stull children. Gathering at the Toepper home on Tuesday afternoon to surprise birthday girl Grace Vyduna were Jean ErickSon and boys, Grace Gavin and children. Marge Peterson, Johnsburg, and Linda Kettner as well as the Toeppers and Joy and Judy Vyduna. Saturday guests at a birthday party in honor of Cindy Stull included: Mark Wiggerman, Alfy May, Sunnyside; Lori Ratkie and Kathy Gerstein, Sunnyside Estates; Susan Jones, Fox Lake, and Cindy's brothers and sisters. Hospital Notes' Grace Vyduna, Joy and Judy left Wednesday evening for Barnesville, Minn., where her mother was scheduled for surgery on Friday. Home from the McHenry Hospital and back to work by now was Jim Bush who underwent surgery on his neck the last week in April. * Grace Gavin's father, liruno Perkowski, Chicago, underwent surgery at the Veterans' hospital at the end of April and we hope he will be home soon, ending a lengthy stay in the hospital. The dance is sponsored by the PlftaKee "Terrace association. PLAN CELEBRATION Gov. Otto Kerner has announced Illinois' participation in a nationwide Independence Day celebration by the ringing of bells throughout the state. The governor announced the appointment of Edward Akin, administrator of the Illinois Veterans Commission, to recruit a committee of church and civic officials to carry out the program. On July 4, 1963, and each year thereafter, it is planned to have all church bells, all bells in government buildings and all carillon bells in colleges and universities ring for fcur minutes. Every radio and television station will be asked to broadcast the sound of bells for two minutes, followed by a reading from the Declaration of Independence. It is believed that Illinois' participation in the nationwide celebration will come at 1 p.m. (CDT) on July 4.
