THZ McHENBY PLAINDEAT.EB ' Thursday, July 11, 1963 SOFTBALL TEAM DEFEATS GATEWAY IN LOPSIDED GAME Lor Arrnnau - W.L. 2048 Out of the ten teams playing !n the Genoa City softball league there are two teams that have remained undefeated as of this writing (MondayI. Tonight will break that tie since Ringwood tangles with Pell Lake. This should be quite a game for all concerned. I'll have to let you know the results next week. On Thursday, Ringwood battles Basset t's team in the second game, then cn Wednesday July 17, it's the Linton Jets versus Ringwood. Last week's results with only one game played by the Ringwood team it was Ringwood slaughtering Gateway with a score of 23 to 0. that's a baseball score? It sure was. Ringwood cracked the ball all over the park in the sixth inning when the score was only 7-0 Home runs and just plain hits led to the final score. The boys had some good batting practice. JUst hope they get some tonight. Little League There was only one game last week. The July 4, game was cancelled for now. The game between the Yankees and Pirates on Monday must have been quite an exciting game for both teams, since it was halted with a score of two runs apiece. They didn't play extra innings due to the darkness coming in. For the coming week, it will be the Pirates versus the Yankees tonight (Thursday) and next Monday, July 15, it's the Sox against the Yankees. Next Thursday, July 18, the Sox tangle with the Pirates. These youngsters are quite excited about their games and really talk over the different things that should have been done and what they can do different next time. Come on down and see them play any Monday or Thursday night. •Qnme" time is approximetly 6:30 p.m. at the McCullom I^ake beach. Spectators are •more than welcome. Sr. Hi M.Y.F. Report The Sr. Hi.
