Hauri of Waukegan was fined $40 in the court of Justice of the Peace Charles M. Adams last Saturday on a charge of reckless driving. A $15 fine Was impossed on William Burton of Waukegan for not having a chauffeur's license. Speeding was the charge against Clifford R. Raven of Crystal Lake, who paid $15; Ronald R. Berg of Wonder Lake, $11; Joseph P. Justen of Crystal Lake and Helen E. Hautzinger of 4516 W. Parkway, McHenry, each $10. Magistrate Court Joseph Whalen of Fairway drive, McHenry, was fined $25 in the court of Police Magistrate Donald Howard for following too closely. COLLECTION OF WAGONS FEATURE OF HOLIDAY TOUR George Baumbeck of Fountain Lane was charged with speeding and a $14 fine assessed. A $15 fine was imposed on Fred O'Halleran of Fountain Lane, McHenry, for improper passing. There MUST be a shortage of truth, from the way lots of people stretch it. A valuable collection of many types of wagons, owned by Charles Detrick of rural Crystal Lake, will be one of the many feature attractions at this year's Holiday Hospitality Day next week. The bright, colorful festival sponsored by the woman's auxiliary of Memorial Hospital for McHenry County is set for Wednesday, Oct. 9, beginning at 10 a.m. with tours, art show, puppet show, box luncheon and other attractions. The Detrick collection will be wheeled out of the carriage house at his farm home on the Crystal Lake-McHenry blacktop. Big Oak Farm is one of the official tour homes, but Detr i c k has added s p i c e to t h e fun by offering to show off his collection. He's gathered these wagons from throughout the country-- even throughout the world. And he's been engaged in this search for only two years. Another reason why he's moving them out of the carriage house is a practical one--the women went to use the carriage house for their Farmer's Market! Tickets for the tour will be available at both the homes and at the Gift and Thrift shop in Woodstock. Maps will be supplied visitors to help them in their travels. A box luncheon will be served at the Congregational- Universalist church in Woodstock, located near the shop and Opera House.
