Thursday, October 31. 1963 THE McHENBY PLAMDEALEB Homemakers Of County Sponsor Second Annual Bazaar Nov. 8 P*g» Jkr# Gifts of all kinds, baked goods, needlecraft, homemade candy, and many other items will be available on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Marengo Legion home when the twenty units , of the Homemakers Extension association in McHenry county hold their second annual bazaar. From 11 a.m. to lu pjn., the spacious rooms of the Legion home, located one mile west of Marengo on U.S. route 20, will present a holiday atmosphere in a fall setting when the various booths are cleverly arranged with eye-catching items. Each member is contributing articles to any or all booths;' with the individual units in charge of a special section. '. Types of booths are: Holiday, plants and flowers, needlecraft, •white elephants, bake shop, toys and dolls, "this 'n that," country store, and peppermint stick parlor. Light refreshments will be served in the tea shop. In addition to the many articles for sale, there will be a craft booth, where the special talentsi of members will be on display. During the day, Mrs. Mitzie Schnittke will be demonstrating flower-making and gift wrappings and Mrs James Shimek will show bottle gardens. In the evening, a style show by 4-H girls will be presented. Home Bureau Advisor Mrs. Katherine Neuman and Assistant Advisor Mrs. Genevieve Hughes, along with the local leaders, will have charge of this: revue. The public is invited to attend. PERRY'S Miss Stephanie M. Gale of Wonder Lake and Mr. Frank M. Perry of Ringwood road were married Saturday, Oct. 19, in Christ the King Catholic church, Wonder Lake. They will make their home at 50 N. Pistakee Lake road in Fox Lake. KISHWATJKEE TRAIL WILL SPONSOR TWO GIRLS IN COUNTY Kishwaukee Trail chapter of McHenry county rrf&t at the home of Mrs. W. G. Hoy in Woodstock last Monday, with Mrs. Fred Peeler as co-hostess. After a morning business meeting and luncheon, Mrs. Douglas Gutzman gave an interesting talk on "DAR Good Citizen." The chapter will sponsor two girls this year, one irom Woodstock and one from McHenry. Mrs. John Oster, regent of Eli Skinner chapter, Arlington Heights, was present to explain the need for junior American citizens. Sponsoring a boy from Tomasse, S. S., school was also discussed. The next meeting will be Nov. 25 at the home of Mrs. John McConnell on Charles road. Mrs Harry Rossman and Mrs. Earl Smith will act as cohostesses. The program will include a colored film on Telstar. Feyerer, J r, at an 11:30 Mass. Rev. .James A. Vanderpool officiated at the ceremony. Mary is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Weisenburger of 7217 Loras Lane. John is (he son of Mr. and' Mrs. John G. Feyerer, Sr., of 4S20 E. Wonder Lake road. Of special interest was the foct that the soloist, Mrs. Ted Meyer of Thorp, Wis., and the organist, Sister Mary Liguori of Chicago, are both aunts of the bride. They are both sisters of Mrs. Weisenburger. Sister Liguori is of the Servants of Mary Order and teaches at Annunciata School in Chicago. Her companion, Sister Mary Pauline, assisted in the singing of the Mass, as did the three cousins of the bride. Mrs. Weisenburger's brother (uncle or the bride) Father Francis Czerwionka, C.S.V., gave the young couple a special blessing after the Mass. Father Czerwionka is chaplain at Manteno State hospital. The bride was beautiful in a gown of silk organza over satin, trimmed with iridescent sequins and seed pearls and with a chapel train and long pointed sleeves. Her bouffant, fingertip veil was held in place by a pillbox hat of iridescent sequins over satin. Her only jewelry was a locket heart commemorating one year of courtship. As she approached the altar, accompanied by her father, she carried a sheaf bouquet of white butterfly roses which she placed on the altar of the Blessed Virgin. As she left the altar, accompanied by her husband, she carried a cascade bouquet :>f white carnations. Attending the bride were Mrs. Barbara Caron as matronof- honor, Miss Joan Feyerer, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid, and Margie Czerwionka of Chicago as flower girl. The matron of honor and bridesmaid wore dresses of sea ccral satin with bell shaped skirt (street length) and headpieces of the same material fashioned into a large rose. They both carried cascade bouquets of white pompom mums. The flower girl wore a street- length dress of white taffeta with a sea coral sash and rose headpiece, and she carried a lace basket of rose petals. Mrs. Weisenburger chose a dress of turquoise blue silk with matching hat and shoes and a corsage of pink sweetheart roses. Mrs. Feyerer chose a beige brocade dress with brown accessories for her son's wedding and she wore a corsage of bronze and gold pom-pom mums. HAYS When Miss Mary Margaret Whiting exchanged vows with Mr. Philip John Hays in St. Patrick's Catholic church on Oct. 19, she was attended by her four sisters, Sandra, Nancy, Joann and Julie Whiting. The bride is a graduate of McHenry high school and Moser Secretarial school and has been employed at the McHenry State Bank. The groom is a graduate of McHenry high school and Bradley university. He is employed in Crystal Lake. After their honeymoon the newlyweds will be at home at 33 Pomeroy street Crystal Lake. Purchase Business Donald Weingart and George Frber have purchased Carey Appliance Inc.. on Green sireet and are operating the business under the same name. Green street, McHenry, has been named supervisor of electromechanical design in a $17 million project at Automatic Electric Laboratories, Northlake. Smith \\[ill plan and direct circuit development for the 490L program, in which Automatic Electric will build high speed switching centers for the U.S. Air Force's world-wide defense communications system. A graduate of the University of Illinois, he holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering. He has been with the telephone and electronics manufacturing company fifteen years.
